Hold On To Sixteen

Parker walked down the hallway as she saw Quinn and Rachel talking.

Wait...Rachel? She stopped in her tracks walking over to the two.

She smiled, "Rachel what are you doing here?"

"It's an in-person suspension. I'm allowed on campus as long as I'm getting my work done," Rachel explained then looked back to Quinn, "Oh, I wanted to tell you both that I am available for vocal coaching if you need any help. We need to bring our A-game if we have any chance of beating the trouble tones."

Quinn shook her head, "Oh, we're not gonna have any trouble with them. Not as soon as I have Shelby Corcoran fired."

"What why?" Parker asked.

Quinn gets closer to the two girls, "She's sleeping with Puck."

"What?!" said a wide-eyed Parker as Quinn nodded.

Rachel shook her head, "Look, that's a really, really dangerous rumor to make up, okay? You're gonna ruin her entire reputation."

"That's the plan," Quinn responded.

"What-Quinn, no. Look, is it important information because of legal reasons, yeah. But if it's just a rumor, you're gonna ruin her life," Parker explained.

Quinn rolled her eyes, "It's not a lie. I heard it from Puck."

"First of all, Puck is 18, so what he and Shelby are doing, even though it's just wrong and so gross, it's not illegal. So all you're just, you're getting her fired, which is gonna take away her income to provide food and clothes and put a roof over her child's tiny little blonde hair," Rachel protested.

Quinn shrugged, "Sounds like an unfit mother, and I'll be waiting in the wings when they take Beth away from her."

"Beth loves her mom," Rachel shook her head, "Shelby is her real mom. Look you done a lot of really bad things, Quinn, but if you tell people about this Puck and Shelby thing, you'll be ruining  this little girl's life and then you'll have really hit rock bottom."

Rachel walked away leaving Quinn and Parker. Quinn looked at the younger girl seeing a confused look on her face.

"Who's Beth?" she asked.

Quinn slightly blushed with embarrassment, "I never told you?"

"No," Parker shook her head.

Quinn gave her a nod, "Walk with me."

The two walked away from Rachel's locker.

"So back in the year of 2009, I was a sophomore. Young and stupid," Quinn laughed, "Puck and I decided to hang out this one day. No one was home, and I remembered my mom had just bought wine coolers."

Parker nodded, "What does this have to do with who Beth is?"

"I'm getting there. I got drunk; then Puck and I had sex. I got pregnant, then 9 months later there was Beth," Quinn explained.

Parker smiled softly as the two stopped, "So Beth is little you?"

Quinn laughed, "Yeah. She's so perfect. You know, like I get stuck here in Lima and never get out, at least I have her."

"You want her back," Parker raised an eyebrow.

"I do," Quinn nodded.

"You do know the way you're going at it is just gonna make Beth traumatized," Parker stated.

Quinn stopped walking, "What do you mean?"

"Well, think about it. Shelby loses everything. Then CPS comes in and takes Beth away from her just to go with a person she hardly knows," Parker said.
