A few days had passed and Luna had been intentionally avoiding her girlfriend.

She knew it was wrong, but she was too ashamed to face her. Everytime she thought about what had happened in Hogsmeade, she pushed it away in embarrassment and shame.

Luna knew it probably wasn't even that big of a deal. The more she put all of this off, talking to Ginny, the harder it would become.

The day before the Quidditch match between Gryffindor and Hufflepuff, Luna sought out Ginny. She wasn't very hard to locate. The first place she looked was in their tree by the lake.

Hands grabbing bark, feet catching on knotholes. Luna finally made it up the tree to their spot.

Ginny looked like she had seen Luna coming.

The latter girl sheepishly crawled into the nook and sat beside the redhead.

Ginny cleared her throught. "so" she said coolly, looking hurt.

"Ginny, I'm sorry, I shouldn't have walked out..."

"damn right you shouldn't have. You stormed out on me for no reason and haven't talked to me in a week." Ginny crossed her arms, looking away.

Luna's heart cracked as she realized she had hurt her girlfriend so much, and reached out to put her hand on Ginny's shoulder, smiling slightly when Ginny didn't push it away.

"Gin, I'm really really sorry. I- I have something to tell you..."

Ginny sighed and looked at Luna, her face softening. "It's ok, my love, I'm the one who should be sorry. I-I talked to Hermione, and I understand you're sensitive about food, and I- well- I can be a bit insensitive sometimes, can't I?" she took Luna's hand off her shoulder and held it instead.

Luna chuckled, feeling better. "I've missed you, Gin."

"I've missed you, too," Ginny whispered and pressed her lips to the blonde's.

(Ginny)

"So where were you all day?" Hermione inquired from her best friend.

Ginny smiled slightly. "Luna and I made up, Mione."

Hermione beamed, "What would do without me?"

Ginny scoffed fondly, "I definitely wouldn't be studying for our test on Wednesday when it's only Friday night."

(Luna)

Luna was incredibly happy to see Ginny's mood so uplifted lately. She had been the main reason that Gryffindor won the match on Saturday, scoring seven goals and assisting two.

Luna had particularly enjoyed the wonderful time after the game. Ginny was a good kisser.

It was now Monday, and Luna, Ginny and Hermione were walking to their first class together. The boys and Neville were who knows where, probably causing trouble, or going to be late again, yes again.

"Oh, I'll catch up with you in a sec, I'm going to talk to them for a second."

Luna walked over to her ravenclaw dorm friends after spotting them chatting in the corner.

"Oh, heyy Luna!" Cora said. "Hello," Luna replied dreamily.

"I like your new bag!" Luna said to one of them, earning a thank you in return. They talked for a bit more, until warning bell sounded, telling them to get to class or they'd be late.

Luna bid her friends goodbye, and quickly started walking to class.

"Hey Loony Lovegood, it looks like you've got a bird nest on your head, and what is that charm on your bag? No one likes you." a random, faceless boy called as he and his friends burst out in laughter.

Luna gazed unblinking at him, feeling all the happiness she had felt over the weekend drain out of her in one instant.

"And dragons can be very vicious creatures! But at times..." Luna zoned out of Professor Lupin's lesson on dragons as she was thinking about what that boy had said.

No one likes me.

This lesson would have been very interesting to Luna on any other day... but not today.

Luna faintly noticed Ginny and Hermione looking at her in concern.

"May I use the restroom please?" Luna said and then grabbed her bag and walked out without waiting for an answer.

She practically ran to the bathroom and then leaned up against the sink once there.

She let out a dry sob, wanting to cry but not being able to.

She shakily reached into her bag and pulled out the mirror fragment

She pressed the blade to her skin-

At that moment the door burst open and Ginny came hurtling in. Luna had to quickly hide the mirror and her slightly cut arm.

Ginny wrapped her arms around Luna and then kissed her.

"What's wrong my love?" Ginny questioned soothingly to the shaking girl in her arms.

"Nothing now that you're here."

Ginny smiled sweetly and booked her nose. "You can tell me anything."

"I know."

"Class is almost over..." Ginny smiled slyly. "Wanna hang out somewhere until it's over?"

"Definitely," said Luna, feeling warm and safe again.
