A faint gleam of sunlight peeked behind the black curtains of August's room. Although a heavy sleeper, the light always seemed to wake him up as if he was one with the sun. He ran his tattooed hands over his face before observing his surroundings. He realized Whitley was now facing him, fast asleep. He shook his head in disbelief at the fact that he had successfully cuddled with her all night. The new and improved August wasn't one to allow someone who wasn't his girlfriend in his bed. Furthermore, he wasn't someone who liked to cuddle regardless. He liked his space above anything else.

August discreetly removed himself from the bed and got up to take a shower when he noticed Whitley's phone lying on the floor. He picked it up to check the battery, which was nearly dead so he placed it on the charger so it would be fully charged when she woke up. He placed all of Whitley's things together on the nightstand along with a bottle of water in case she was thirsty before heading into the bathroom. Not too long after August finished his shower, Whitley woke up. She immediately remembered how she forgot to ask August for a charger last night and began to look for her phone before realizing it was charging next to an unopened water bottle on the nightstand. She immediately smiled at August's thoughtfulness as she opened the water bottle and took a sip before going to greet him.

"Good morning," Whitley said as she stood in the doorway of August's bathroom, watching him brush his teeth.

He stood in the mirror with glistening skin and a towel wrapped around his waist. He smelled like the perfect mix of eucalyptus and Shea butter. She couldn't help but mentally gush over how good he looked.

"Morning beautiful," he replied with a mouthful of toothpaste before motioning for her to sit on the countertop in front of him.

He continued brushing his teeth for a few more seconds before spitting the toothpaste out into the sink.

"How'd you sleep, love?" He asked as he wiped the toothpaste from the corner of his mouth with a paper towel.

"Really good. Your bed is so comfortable," Whitley said in a dreamy tone reflective of her quality of sleep.

August chuckled before gripping Whitley's thighs and positioning himself between them. He bit his lip as he looked at Whitley. Although her hair was unruly and her eyes were still puffy, August still found her to be extremely gorgeous.

"So, you chillin' wit me taday or you ready ta go back home?"

Whitley's face immediately dropped at the thought of going back home. If she did, she'd have to face her friends, or Jayda at the least. Regardless, Jayda would only force her to reconcile with Corinne. As bad as Whitley felt about the issue, she didn't believe she was in the wrong and wouldn't be apologizing any time soon.

"If it's cool with you I'd like to stay a little longer," Whitley replied looking at August's hands on her thighs.

"Of course. Just let me know wheneva' you ready ta' go n' I'll take you back."

Whitley nodded her head in understanding. She didn't wanna face the fact that her time with August had to come to an end. She wished she could stay as long as she desired.

"So, what are your plans for the day?" Whitley asked as she eyed the gold chain around his neck.

She was trying to avoid eye contact with him, especially since his eyes hadn't left her since the moment she walked into the bathroom.

"Not much. I gotta run a few errands and work on a paper for one of my classes, but afta' that whateva' we do is up ta' you," August replied, picking up Whitley's chin so she was looking at him.

"The way you lookin' at a nigga body I'd say I already know whatchu wanna do," August chuckled, "I look that good, huh?"

August ran his hands down his torso as Whitley giggled.
