Finally updating woahhhh

Annabeth helped Percy out with his homework after school. She had her leg elevated on two pillows, it was supposed to help blood flow or whatever. It was almost awkward between the two of them. The last time they were alone before the accident they'd almost kissed. Around the same time they finished, Percy's mom came back from running a few errands.

"Annabeth! How are you?" Sally asked, leaning down to give her a hug.

"I've been better." She responded. Sally's eyes saddened.

"Well if you need anything Percy and I are here for you." Sally smiled sweetly and Annabeth thanked her.

It was nice for her to know that she had someone like Sally in her life. Her real mom passed away when she was young and she wasn't all that great. They got along now but things had always been just a little rocky between them. Sally left the two teenagers alone after. She always knew how much Percy liked Annabeth, even if he was constantly saying she was just a friend.

It all seemed like the same thing was happening again. He had turned to look at her and they both started to lean in. They were centimeters away when Percy heard a sound.

"Ummm, Percy? Are you feeling okay? You look a little red." Annabeth lightly shoved him in the shoulder.

"I'm fine." He said in a monotone voice. He was still a little stunned that he even let himself think of kissing her.

It was a weird thought, he knew that. Yet something about it felt so...so right? He never thought of Annabeth that way till high school. Even in middle school, she was nothing but a friend, but now something about her. She was pretty, Percy would admit that any day.

~~~~
Annabeth trudged throughout the halls of school feeling nothing but helpless. She hated the feeling. She was capable of so much but now all she had were two pieces of metal supporting her. Percy walked along side her. She didn't dare say a word. She didn't feel the need to talk. Percy started all the conversations now. He felt a nice warm feeling when he was able to make Annabeth laugh, when he made her smile. When they got to class he sat behind her instead of far in the back.
Their teacher walked in and started the lesson. Annabeth was on top of it as always, she didn't miss a beat. Every question asked, she had an answer. Percy liked how smart she was. He was smart too but his ADHD and dyslexia made it a struggle. When the ball rang everyone was dismissed except for Percy and Annabeth. Their teacher held them back.
"I wanna talk to you two." She said.
Percy gulped. He didn't want to get in trouble, he didn't want to get Annabeth in trouble more specifically.
"Well Annabeth first of all I am so sorry about your knee! And Percy I want to thank you for helping her out. Now I've also noticed Annabeth you have quite the eye for architect, correct?"
Annabeth nodded. When she wasn't in dance class which was like never, but she was studying architecture.
"I've just found out of an amazing program out in California for you, New Rome University. Their campus is truly stunning and their programs, exceptional." She handed Annabeth a packet with a gold seal on the front.
Percy perked up "Hey that looks awesome!"
"Now Percy the same university has an amazing marine biology program, that I believe will gave your best of interest." She handed Percy a packet similar to Annabeth's.
"Oh uhmmm thanks Mrs.G but I'm heading to New York to study dance." Annabeth tried to give her back the packet but she shook her head.
"Keep it just in case." Mrs.G winked and then excused them from her classroom.
Percy opened the packet to be greeted by a bunch of smiling people in purple shirts. He quickly scanned over, their teacher was right. The place looked awesome.
Annabeth on the other hand hadn't opened her's yet since the seal was still intact.
"You know the university seems pretty cool." Percy suggested trying to find something to talk to about.
Annabeth grumbled and then spoke.
"It's like suddenly just because of an injury I can't do the thing I love anymore! Why are people assuming that I've just given up!" She looked at Percy for an answer but he didn't have one. He shrugged and Annabeth started to aggressively walk on her crutches.
Can you aggressively walk on crutches? Yes. Yes you can. Why? Because I did it.
That evening ig she spent all night just staring at the purple packet, unopened, untouched. It layers on her bedroom floor and she was just looking at it. Was she interested in it? Hell yeah she was! She didn't want to give up on New York though. She didn't want to let go of her dream. The goal she had set since she was child, she can't change now, not anymore. Annabeth was determined to get over the injury and get back on stage. No matter what it took. As for Rachel Dare, well Annabeth was dying to call up an led friend from dance camp who just happened to be planning on going to the same audition in 2 months. She had high hopes that they of anyone could help her out and keep her posted on Rachel.
Okay but like who do we think the dance friend is???
