"Hey mama I'm back and I put Noah in his bed he fell asleep on the way home" I said as I walk into the living room and give her a kiss on the cheek.

"So how was your first day" she asks.

"Well" I said with a little frown.

"Oh no come sit baby" she says patting on the couch.

"So it wasn't good at first I even made a friend because she was getting bullied right ? And I felt bad because the girl named kaylee left marks on her so I after we had lunch together, oh wait before that I met these boys named Lucas and Cassius . Lucas is funny and cool. And good god Cassius is a pain in my ass and he doesn't stop bothering me , anyway so at lunch and it was just me and maya talking then the boys came and we were like joking arguing but oh my god let me tell you Lucas and maya would be so cute, but anyway the girl that bullies maya came up and started bothering her and I tried keeping my promise to you but then she started saying stuff about me and how I'm just using maya so I got pissed and may have broke her plastic nose, mama she literally looks like a knock off version of Barbie, but then us 4 got sent to the office but I only have 2 weeks of detention and the others have 1 week. But I had to change my clothes because that girl split stuff on me so Cassius gave me a this shirt that I'm now wearing and then we got in a argument" I said, I told her basically my whole day.

"Good god Cora that was a lot but honey I'm not mad this time because your standing up for a friend, and this Cassius boy seems kind" mama says smiling.

"Oh no mama he's the definition of bad boy, he is the walking one night stand , the player of east side" I say seriously.

"Okay so your the bad girl at your schools or so you say, but anyway he can't leave you alone , he gives you his extra shirt which by the way smells so good" she says as she sniffs me.

We both laugh.

"I don't know he just thinks imma open up to him when I literally met him today, yes he's very attractive and he also calls me cupcake and the way he says it is hot but i don't know mama I don't want a relationship, I got cheated on more than once and there all bad boys" I said rolling my eyes .

"Well it's not our fault is Johnson's attract the bad boys baby, your smoking hot, your a badass, you stand your ground sweetie so of course you'd attract him" mama says as I lay my head on her lap and she runs her fingers through my hair.

"True that mama, I'm just I don't know scared , we have been through so much with dad for that last 4 years, and then my exes, and money problems I don't wanna give my heart someone again and then they break it, I'm scared to fall in love because I don't want them to leave like dad did us" I say as I let a tear escape.

"I know baby but it's just us now we are far away from him he can't find us and won't ever lay hand on us again" she says with her voice cracking.

"Is it okay if I just stay here for a bit and sleep and rest my head on your lap mama" I say trying not to cry.

Because crying makes you weak, showing any emotions make you weak that's want dad says.

"Of course honey sleep as long as you want" she says still playing with my hair.

That's the thing about us , me and mama are super close we act more like bestfriends we just have that super amazing mother daughter bond. I'd do anything for her.
