flashback

"mommy, look what i drew!" y/n's three year old son beamed and shoved a pice of paper with a scribble of a rainbow and stickman figures.

"not now alex, i'm at a meeting." y/n massaged her temples as she whispered to her son to go watch a movie.

" but mommy-"

"now. alex.." y/n said firmly as she heard her manager speak to her.

"yeah i'm alright it's my son. continue the meeting." y/n returned to her meeting without noticing tears in her son's eyes.

that was the last time she ever saw him again.

back to reality

y/n just finished three more meetings and all her interviews when she decided to go say sorry to her little son for being harsh.

probably grab him hot cocoa, give him a kiss, and say sorry, she thought.

she went downstairs expecting to see her son by the couch playing with his cars, but he was nowhere to be found.

"alex?" she called out.

the back door was open, so she thought that alex must've been playing in the backyard.

he wasn't there.

"alex??" y/n called more loudly.

no answer.

panic started to rush through y/n's body as she frantically looked for her son around the house.

he wasn't there, goddamn it.

with tears brimming her eyes and a few sliding down her cheeks, she grabbed her phone and headed outside.

"911, what's your emergency?"

"my s-son's missing you have to help me!" y/n cried out.

"ok ma'am calm down, have you checked your house?"

"i did he's not here."

"how about your neighborhood?"

y/n looked around.

"HE'S NOT HERE JUST SEND HELP PLEASE! I LIVE BY #23 MAPLE STREET, NORTH VANCOUVER.JUST SEND SOMEONE FOR FUCK'S SAKE" y/n shouts at her phone in panic and extreme worry.

"okay ma'am, we'll be there."

the call ended.

she frantically called her ex-husband, finn.

he was about to pick up the call when the police arrived.
