Lucius POV

Such a feisty feline she is ain't she? I sighted dreamily.

I went after seeing her go in so she lived in this district, it is somewhat like the slums just cleaner...?. Then I went to see the condition of our shops in the nearby district. It was about 9:30pm when I finished and she still hasn't called me.

I already expected this but it still bums me out for a bit for some reason. I went to the mansion and gave the keys to a gang member "Park it well. If I found any scratch then I will scar you the same way" I said darkly. "ye-yes sir" and the guy scrambled away.

I went to see James in my chair while checking some papers. "so did you check on the shops at D district?" he asked me. "yeah they have been up to date on payment and our men are keeping the mafia away from selling in our district" I told him.

"why can't you just take over my position for me and I will be the chief" I said as sat on the couch.

"No need I am satisfied with my position itself" he plainly said as he stood.

"These need your signature. I have already reviewed them but if you need to check them again before signing" he announced.

I just reviewed it briefly as I signed it and gave it to him. He took it and was about to go out of the room "Is Brooke here?" I asked nonchalantly. He checked his watch "She should be getting off now" he replied. "From where?" "Her part time job" he said.

"She works part time?" I asked. "yeah but I don't exactly know where though just that its some software based company now if you will excuse me" he said as he left. Now what am I suppose to do....

Cole yeah he should know something right? I went into his room to see that he was watching some video with a light blue haired girl with pierces on with a cat hoodie she was coding? By looks of it she reminds me of Brooke when I first meet her.

"what do you need boss?" he said pausing the video. "I want you to find out where she works" I said looking at the screen. "she works at the at that big Tech firm at C district" he replied. "hmmm"

I still can't get my mind off that video though her face was not visible because of the mask and hoodie I get a familiar vibe from her somehow I thought as I drove there.

"I feel like I'm being a creep right now" I muttered as I waited outside her company. Then she came out she was wearing a white shirt tucked in her blue skinny jeans with her sneakers with her hoodie in her hand. I saw her talking to some guy I felt that feeling again in my chest.

Brooke's POV

I finished up early today so I got off at the same time as my senior. "well then see you tomorrow Burns" he grinned. "Yes sir see you tomorrow" I said respectfully. I stretched and felt someone staring..?. I turned around to see Lucius.

"What are you doing here? And how do you know I work here" I enquired him. "I came to check on my shops here when Cole said that you work in this district so I came too pick you up" I replied. "Right~" I said.

"Come on let's go" he said. "I can just take the subway like I usually do" I said. "But since I'm already here you could just come me" I said oh so matter of fact. "Well we need stop by somewhere" I said as I got in.

We here at subway because I have been craving it for weeks now. I got my order and he got his. "You really like sweet things huh" I said as I took a bite. "You can't just say that I like sweet things just because I ordered sweet corn and peas" he said taking a bite.

"You don't drink coffee and even if you drink tea you take it with two cubes of sugar that to with sugar coated biscuits. And you liked the sweet and sour ramen that is more sweet than it is sour" I said in one breath. "Do you like me?" he teased. "No I'm just observant of my surroundings" I retorted.

We finished our subs and were walking to the car. I felt him near me why do I feel so weird? I'm overly sensitive of his presence damn why did he have to park the car that far? "meow~" I heard faintly. I turned to the dark alley it was coming from. I went in "hey! Where are you going?".

I saw a box near the dumpster. I turned on the flash light for a better view to see that it was a litter of kittens. "Whoa~ hello little ones don't worry I will take you somewhere with better conditions" I said as I took the box.

I turned around- "Ah! For god's sake make some noise if you are behind me" he scared the crap out me I almost dropped the kittens. "If you are thinking of bringing then to the mansion forget it" he said. "Who said that I'm bringing them to the mansion I know an animal shelter I will just drop them off there" I said.

"Then fine now tell me the address" I told him the address and we went there.

Lucius POV

I really can't with this girl. I thought that we would be done with this after she gave the kittens for adoption but she also has to play with the other cats now.

Darn it I find this super cute. A kitten is playing with the other kittens thought with my hand covering the lower part of my face while smiling. "To hell with it" I mumbled. "Hum~" she turned around with a black cat in her hand with a calico cat resting in her lap.

Bright red flushed her skin. "de-delete that this insta-ant" she stammered. Oh~ this really is too much stammering with a blush adoring her cheeks. "Why~ it looks absolutely adorable" she just chased after me . "I'm not adorable" she huffed.

"Oh I beg to differ" I laughed.
