Lucius POV

I heard my phone vibrate. "What" I groaned.

"It seems that someone got inside the mansion. I already alerted the guards and I'm also on my way I just wanted to warn you" said James.

"hmm" I said as I cut the call.

I went out and saw a guard in the dining hall. "bos-ss" he stared.

I was still wearing Brooke's cat print hoodie and boxer shorts. I think I just lost my dignity as a mafia boss.

"Has this area been secured" I enquired. "Yes sir" he replied.

"Fine. Go back to your post" I said as took a seat. "Damn you Brooke" I muttered when suddenly the lights went out.

Shit.... I just stood still. My eyesight is better than the average person in the dark. I felt someone behind me

"Leaving so soon~" I said as tackled him.

He had a similar build as mine but I was faster. We both spared for a while mostly to buy time for them to bring the power back. He suddenly got behind me and I braced myself for the impact when- Thump! I heard.

Simultaneously the power came back. Revealing Brooke standing there with a decorative vase in her hand..?

"He isn't dead or anything is he?" she asked as she rubbed her eyes.

"Lucius!" shouted James who came. "Are you okay? " he asked.

"Yeah" I saw the guy on the floor with blood coming out of his head.

"Oh! The carpet is gonna be stained. James help me remove this" James and the men helped remove the body while she folded the hem of the carpet.

It seems that finally her brain was working " He's not gonna die right?. This can be accounted as self-defense but.." she said deep in thought.

"He's going to be fine. We have in-house doctors" they live with the bodyguards in a separate building.

"Fuuu~ then I'm going back to bed" she said as she went back to her room. James came back.

"I didn't get to ask this before but what the hell are you wearing?" he said as he made a disgusted face.

"It's Brooke's" I said plainly. "What! Did you sleep with her that fast- Ah!" I wacked him in the head.

"It's not like that" I said as I made my way to the stairs.

"Then~ what is it like? Do tell" he shouted. I just showed him the finger as I walked away.

I saw that Brooke was fast asleep so I slept off as well. Still on her bed though.

I woke up. That was the most peaceful sleep I had in a while. I thought as I turned to see Brooke hugging her carrot plushie. Simply adorable~

I just stared for a solid fifteen minutes. I can be officially called a creep but the way she hugged her plushie while furrowing her eyebrows~.

Suddenly her alarm rang but the lyrics were what shocked me more.

I just smirked so she likes songs like this huh?. she slowly stirred in her sleep.
