A suburb of London, 1866

It was a lively afternoon to the person who strolls around the streets of London with things in her mind. Lots of talking, laughing, walking in and out of stores and passing by some stalls calling out for customers to get a living. Compared to the place she lived in, the streets was like a festival to her and it never seem to bore her until it became a routine for her to escape the manor and everything became too repetitive that it made her views on life turn back to gray. All she wanted was a bit of adventure, excitement, and pleasure.

But all the things that she discovered could only make her passion last for only a while until it became nothing but boring. So utterly boring and dull. This has been on her mind as she loses all of her excitement and entertainment from her repeating strolls in every area of the town.

"Hey come back here!" A voice hollered out of nowhere, bringing back the attention of the little girl. As she look around for the source, someone suddenly bumped on her side, making her fall on her bottom. Whipping her head, she saw a little boy running away with a baguette in his arms.

"Huh" she scoffed. "He just ran away without apologizing, damn brat..." When she was about the help herself up, a hand offered itself to her. She tilted her head up to see another boy, a noble boy to be exact.

Receiving no response from the girl, the boy then decided to speak. "Do you need help? Miss..."

An eyebrow was raised as she finally spoke to him, but not in the way he expected to hear from her. "I swear if you're another one of those damn little bastards who wants my hand in-"

"N-no! It's not that! I am merely concerned for you since you hit the ground quite hard and you haven't stood up for a while, so I thought you were hurt and offered to help."

Looking straight into his emerald eyes and saw no lies in them, she grabbed his outstretched hand and pushed herself up while being pulled by the boy in front of you. She nodded at him as thanks then strutted towards the irritated stall owner that got stolen one of his goods and dropped some money on the counter. The owner was surprised and politely asked her what would she want to have.

She turned her back at him and smiled slyly, "Payment for the runaway bread. Keep the change."

"Huh? Oh, okay... Thank you miss!" The stall owner smiled albeit still confused.

"For a noble lady like you to pay for the stolen bread, that's quite generous of you that it's surprising, if I were to be honest." Turning her head to the boy who helped her a while ago, she replied. "Is there a problem with that?"

He shake his head. "No problem at all." Then he brought up his hand, "My name is Albert James Moriarty. If its possible, I would like to be friends with you, Miss?"

She once again raised a brow, contemplating whether or not to accept it. Well, it wouldn't hurt to befriend him so why not? As long as he isn't one of the guys whom her mother try to set her up with, then its fine.

Coming into conclusion, she took his hand once again and shake it. "Athena. My name is Athena Ashford. Pleased to be your friend, Albert."

"I as well Miss Athena. By the way, I was about to go to the ragged school to visit the children there. Would you like to come with me?"

A ragged school? "What do you do there?"

Albert smiled as he answered. "Helping children read and study, nothing special."

Athena put a hand on her chin, "Why am I not surprised..." Then she eyed him from head to toe. "Yeah... You do look like the "goody-two-shoes" type of guy. It's rare to see your type within the upper class that it became pretty annoying. But we could get along." After that, she walked ahead of him. But as she was about a few steps away from her spot she didn't sense her companion following along.  She look behind her only to see Albert on his spot, unmoving.
