William shook his head at Allen's unnecessary prank towards his sister.  He sometimes thought that Athena is quite a headache who didn't care what others thought, but it turns out that she's not the only one...

These crazily fearless Ashfords are really something...

He sighed and finally decided to go to Athena.

"Miss Athy, you're too drunk. Let go of it and sober up." Uriel made another failed attempt to take away the bottle as Athena moved away from her.

Just where is Lord William when she needed him the most?!

"No! This booze is too good to let go-- Ah!" Athena gasped when someone forcefully took the bottle away from her.

As she realized that the bottle of beer disappeared from her hand, she whipped her head to the side and glared at the blurry person before her.

"What the fuck?! Do you have any manners?! Do you know it's bad to forcefully take away the booze from a lady?!"

"Do you know it's undignified for a lady to get so drunk like this?" A familiar voice said, making Athena flinch a bit and rub her eyes to get a clear look at the person.

AS her eyes cleared up, she look up to see the person who took the bottle. It was William.

"Oh. It's you." She deadpanned while the man gave the bottle to Uriel.

"I'll take care of her." He said to the servant.

Uriel nodded gratefully. "She can't be alone with a man at night, so I'll be chaperoning from afar. I hope you wouldn't mind."

"Of course not." William smiled at her. Uriel took that as her cue to leave.

When she's gone, William glanced at the drunken woman who is currently staring at him.

"You're here." She smiled.

"Sorry it took me too long to meet up. There's something... I need to tend to." William then eyed her up and down before frowning at her swaying body.

"I'll be giving you twenty minutes to sober up before we talk."

"Tsk. So bossy." She muttered.

After a bit more than 20 minutes, Athena's mind became a bit clearer. She then properly gaze at her handsome Cinderella. "So, What do you want to talk about?"

"About you joining us."

Athena then suddenly smirk as she gave an alluring yet mysterious glance.

"When you say that, it made me wonder why you'd reject my offer in the first place."

William can't help but stare at her being. Flawless yet so flawed. Realizing what he was doing, he subtly snapped to reality and started talking. "You'd need to forgive me about that. I was just being cautious about you."

"Cautious of me? What am I? A monster?" Athena raised a brow.

"It's not you. It's your position in the society that alerted me. That you're different from anybody else."

The woman scoffed and leaned forward at the railings. The sea at night is beautiful, most especially when the moon shined in the water's reflection. But Athena was not having any thoughts of the view.

"What? Are you concerned that I'll be like them?"

"Athena, that's not it." William tried to explain himself. He should've phrased it well.
