Act 11: Nemesis and His Issues

(a/n: IMPORTANT! (I guess?)A little late tho but I hope you guys don't mind any anime/drama/webnovel or webcomic references... If it cringes you out, I'll stop. Probably.  I also hope you like my writing style, since I tend to go to different viewpoints, so it will not entirely focus on Athena and William. 

I got my style of writing by reading various Cnovels, especially "Crossing to the future, It's not easy to be a man" and "National school prince is a girl" and other bunch of fabulous novels. So, yeah. Hope you don't mind, but if you have any complaints, tell me. I don't want to satisfy only myself but everyone else as well.

"My precious Athena..." An eerie voice call for her in the dead of the night. Athena opened her eyes to see a dark figure hovering above her like a ghost hunting her.

"Why do you keep on refusing me?" The eerie voice sounded so familiar to her that it made some unpleasant memories to flood her mind. Athena couldn't move from her spot on her bed nor speak and just continue to stare at the frightening devil above her.

"I've warned you so many times to obey me...." Athena shook as she heard those words. Her eyes now welling in tears and her breath shortened.

"You are my creation..."

No, she's not...

"From the day you were born, I knew..."

No. Stop.

"You will succeed. Don't be like your failure of a father."

Athena sobbed quietly and shook her head.

"With my hands, you shall be Queen."

Athena hyperventilated as she shake her head once more and gasped a "No".

"No? Then will you agree if I kill your Cinderella?"

No... Please no...

"That boy will die because of you." The devil laughs at her pained and silent cries.

NO.

"Obey me Athena!"

"NO!" 

Athena's eyes shot open as she sat up painfully quick. At the same time, the door opened to reveal a heaving Uriel.

"Miss Athy?" Uriel ran up to her lady's bed and hugged her tightly but not too much to enable her breathing.

"No.. Run, please run..." Athena cried out.

"Miss Athy, everything's okay. It's just a dream." Uriel pat Athena's back to help her calm down.

But her mistress pushed her away and shouted. "GO AWAY! RUN!"

"Athy..."

"William, please... Go away... Please..." Despite her pleas to push away, Athena clung tight to Uriel's shirt and leaned on her shoulder.

Uriel didn't say anything more and just hug the crying Athena.

Outside Athena's room was Duke Ashford, who was listening to the sobs of his daughter. He still remembered the devil who psychologically tortured Athena and him back in the past.

"You should've just died back then... Mother."
