Chapter Five

Narrator Pov

Bryce finally introduced Sofie to all of his friends and explained what he does and set some rules surrounding social media and when he is filming, Sofie didn't mind, she just smiled and complied.

Bryce and some of his friends were over and in the living room chilling, some were doing tik tok dances, others lip-singing tik tok sounds, the others were playing video games. A loud knock was heard, the boys looked at each other confused, Griffin went to open the door to be face to face with a dirty blonde-haired girl with light blue eyes, and perfectly tanned skin. Griffin's facial expression changed from confused to annoyed. 

"What are you doing here Elle," Griffin said looking at her up and down, she had on a white sleeveless crop top with jean shorts. Elle looked at Griffin and walked in making herself at home. 

"Where is Bryce?" she asked the boys with quite an attitude, all the boys groaned know that this is not going to end well. "Go home Elle," Josh said already fed up with the girl. She started to argue with the boys demanding to see Bryce, she then proceeded to start shouting for Bryce. This cause Sofie to become curious about what is happening, slowly made her way out of her room, walked to the stairs and laid on her stomach watching and listening to what is happening.

Meanwhile

The boys were trying to calm Elle down as she was going to scare Sofie, but she didn't know that, Griffin sighed and called Bryce on his phone to come downstairs.

"BRYCE BABY!" Elle kept shouting, she does this every week, everyone kept telling her to stop coming here but she didn't listen. The sound of an elevator dinged, the doors opened, and revealed Bryce already looking pissed off with the girl. She ran to Bryce to hug him but he held her wrist very tightly looking into her eyes.

"Bryce you're hurting me!" she screamed in horror, Bryce pushed her back, she almost fell, Elle looked at Bryce in horror he never hurt her before. "What are you doing here Elle, I told you to never come here again or else you would regret it." He said looking emotionless. Elle smiled and held her stomach

"I'm pregnant your gonna be a dad!" she said cheerful, the place was dead silent, Sofie was shocked. Bryce looked at Elle up and down and laughed. "That's not mine," Bryce said walking to the kitchen, Elle smiled turned into a straight line, she was furious. "THIS IS YOUR CHILD BRYCE! YOUR THE ONLY ONE I LOVE AND I LAST PERSON I HAD SEX WITH!" She screamed on the top of her lungs, Bryce poured himself a drink, he walked to Elle with his drink in hand. He looked her directly in her eyes. Taking a sip not breaking eye contact 

"Lower your voice," he said taking another sip, "I know how you pay your rent, Elle," He said not breaking eye contact, he saw the fear shot through her eyes, she blinked a few times, licking her lips. "WHAT IS THAT SUPPOSE TO MEAN!" she said looking offended, Bryce kept drinking his drink. "Lower your tone," he said in a stern voice, still drinking. "What are you doing to do BRYCE KILL ME AND YOUR BABY!" She screamed, seeing Bryce starting to get angry. 

"THAT FUCKING CHILD IS NOT MINE MAYBE GO BACK TO THE STRIP CLUB AND ASK THE MEN YOU SLEPT WITH!" Bryce shouted, the boys started to get up to calm down the situation, they know that Bryce has anger issues but Elle boxed Bryce. This triggered something in Sofie, she felt angry, she got up and ran down the stairs, she walked straight to Elle, the boys saw Sofie, but in one swift motion, Sofie pulled Elle hair, making the girl fall on her back. Sofie then got on top of the girl and slap her face repeatedly. 

"NEVER. PUT. YOUR. DIRTY. HANDS. ON. MY. FATHER. YOU. BITCH." Sofie said between slaps, Elle was screaming, the boys were cheering for Sofie and Bryce pulled Sofie off of the crying blonde. Elle got up seeing Sofie. "You have a child?" she asked in shock, "Yea and what about it" Sofie answered for Bryce, Elle read the room and left, after they heard the door close everyone cheered for Sofie. "Just like father like daughter" Jaden said ruffling her hair, everyone calmed down and went about what they were doing, Sofie looked at her father seeing his face covered with concern, "Are you ok Bryce?" she asked getting worried, "I am fine now pumpkin, thank you for helping me" he smiled but it was fake and Sofie saw right through it, she sighed and decided to not push, she hugged him and went to her room in which her and Anthony played on her ps5.

Meanwhile 

Bryce was in his office doing paper work when Josh came in, "You ok Bryce?" he asked looking at his bestfriend, "Yea just stressed out about some work stuff," Bryce said running his fingers through his brown hair, "What about the Elle thing?" Josh said sitting down on a chair, "I know she is pregnant but it ain't mine," Bryce said reading through a paper, "And what about Sofie?" Josh said hesitantly, Bryce signed a paper looking up at Josh afterwards, "What about Sofie?" he said placing stuff together in a file, "Bryce, Sofie is now apart of your world, that means people are going to target her, you have to train her and tell her about these things!" Josh said harshly, Bryce slammed his fists on the table making a loud bang, "She is only fucking 8! She is not going to go anywhere without me and she is not going online until she is old enough! I am not going to make her terrified enough as it is so don't tell me what to do with my child!" Bryce said angrily making Josh flinched, 'I didn't-" Josh was cut off by Bryce "No no just get the fuck out of my sight" Bryce said getting out of the office and walking to his bedroom. He walked to his balcony, relaxing with the peace and quiet, the cold breeze of the night sky blowing against his skin and hair. Bryce leaned on the balcony wall lighting a cigar. 

Bryce life is not the best and he knows it, but he wants some form of normality in his life, sure he does social media but it feels like a job and that he is being controlled he doesn't have fun anymore but when he got Sofie it was like the one peace of normality and happiness he had in his life and he wasn't going to corrupt it with his broken life. 

After a long moment of being outside, he blew the last bit of smoke before crushing it on the floor with his feet. Bryce took a shower and changed into a sweatpants. He walked through his house, looking at everything all the things everyone wants he had it, but it didn't make him happy, he walked to Sofie's room seeing that she wasn't in her bed, he started to panic a bit but calmed down seeing her sleeping on the floor in her walk in closet. Bryce took the the sleepy girl up and placing her in bed, he sighed tucking her in, he sat beside her looking at her peacefully asleep.

"I am not the best and I am definitely no where near perfect, before I know that I am not and I am not trying to be, but I will try to make your life perfect, I want you to have the childhood I never had, I want to be the father that is there for you when you need me, I want to be the one to see you learn, grow, adventure, graduate, celebrate with you and walk you down the aisle, and see my grandchildren, it may not be easy considering everything in my life but I am here for you and I am not leaving your side" he spoke wholeheartedly that tears left his eyes, he removed Sofie's lock of curly hair out of her face and kissed Sofie on the forehead and left, before he locked the door he looked at her one last time, "I love you Sofie" he spoke softly turning off the light, "I love you too dad" she answered looking at him with a smile making him smile as well......
