Chapter eight

Sofie Pov

I dried my tears as Noah drove me to school, after sometime we arrived, I hugged him and came out the car. I walked with my white backpack on my back, I was nervous with everyone eyes on me, they were watching my every step, I gulp walking the office, "Hello?" I said once I was in side, a woman blonde, had plastic surgery on her bum and face, she looked at me up and down, "Name?" she asked with an attitude, I folded my arms, "Sofie Hall" I said firmly she typed something in her computer and choking on her gum, "Fuck!- I am so sorry Ms. Hall" "Here is your timetable, the school rule book, your locker number and password, a map around the school and your hall pass and pass for the day" she said handing me everything, I put everything except for the hall pass, map and timetable in my bag, I walked out seeing everyone gone, I had Math first, I walked for sometime before I saw a teacher, "Excuse me could you direct me to Math A class?" she looked at me and smiled, "I am the math teacher and follow me" she was very nice to me, she led me into the class as everyone became mute, "This is a new student, go ahead and introduce yourself" she said with a smile, "Um... my name is Sofie Hall, I am 10 years old" I said nervously, everyone clapped making me feel better, the teacher told me to sit down anywhere which was the second row, she begun teaching substitution method in algebra which was easy for me. The class went by in a blur and I went to English which was down the hall from the math class. The class went by with me introducing myself and the teacher doing a pop up quiz on narrative writing. It was now lunch and I was walking into the cafeteria with my lunch on a tray awkwardly, seeing everyone sitting into groups. 

"Hey" a boy with brown fluffy hair greeted me with a smile, "Hi" I greeted back, "My name is Payton" he introduced himself, "Sofie" I introduced myself, "Hi Sofie, are you new here?" he asked me, "Yea is it that obvious" I spoke feeling my cheeks sting, "Yea but don't worry I slipped on my first day here" he spoke making me laugh, "Want to be friends?" he asked me looking hopeful, "Sure" I exclaimed, "Greet, you can sit with me and my friends, come on" he led me to a table, in which he introduced me to his friends, Chase, Charli, Kio, Kairi, Quinton and Cynthia. They were the nicest people I have ever met, and they along with Payton made me feel comfortable and right at home with them

The bell ringed and I had theatre and Payton had Chemistry, we hugged and we went our different classes, I arrived to the drama department earlier than I thought, everyone was dressed in customs and were in a group, I held the straps on my bag and stood at the back of the class. After 30 minutes a man who looked Hispanic, walked into the class, everyone became quiet and lined up in a horizonal line, the man scanned the entire class before his auburn eyes landed on my blue eyes, he pointed at me and I hesitantly walked towards him. "What is your name" he asked looking very interested in me, "Sofie" I said playing with my fingers, he told me to place down my bag and walk on the stage, I obeyed he then pointed at Cynthia, "Cynthia up on the stage" he stated looking like he was thinking about something, "Hey Sofie!" she excitedly whispered to me, I smiled and waved at her, "Don't worry just relax and go with the flow" she said putting her hand on my shoulder, I smiled and thanked her, "Welcome to theatre or drama class Sofie, since your new we I going to do some roleplaying so you could be comfortable in other classes, my name is Mister Ramón" he said with a waving his hands as he speaks, I nodded and smiled, "So I want you and Cynthia to make up something wild act it out and we need to figure out what is it" as he said the class sat on the ground all looking at me, I looked at Cynthia and she told me to take lead. "How about we act out" I said whispering to her, Cynthia's face lit up and she went into character...

Josh Pov

We all sat in the living room, looking at Bryce concerned, ever since Sofie has left for school Bryce has been in a weird vibe. He became mute, he sat in his office all day looking at a picture of him and Sofie counting down the minutes left till she comes home, it was a miracle we took him out of his office. But now he is just sat on the couch staring at the clock, we can't get him to eat or talk, he is just emotionless.

"Right Bryce, I know you miss Sofie and you love her, but she is going to come back soon and you want her to see you like this!" Avani yelled, Bryce looked at her, his face expressionless, it was somewhat scary, Avani then boxed Bryce, "Snap out it, Sofie could walk through that door and see her father just being creepy, it will scare her" she shouted, "I just over thinking everything that could go bad, I just want her to be safe" he expressed looking at the floor, "Bryce, Sofie is the most talented strong and bravest girl I know, she will be ok, and I bet she had the most best day at school and just can't wait to tell you about it" Tayler spoke wrapping his arm around Bryce, "So come on cheer up, we don't want her to be worried for her big softy of a father" I joke, Bryce smiled and thanked us.

And just then the door burst open, "DAD DAD DAD DAD DAD!" Sofie yelled running full speed to Bryce, everyone let go of Bryce as he got up and embraced his daughter in a tight hug.

"Hey pumpkin" he greeted her, his voice excited and happy, letting everyone smile at their interaction.....
