Chapter Two

Narrator Pov

Bryce and Sofie walked out the orphanage as father and daughter, Bryce opened the door for Sofie and buckle her up in the seatbelt, he then placed her documents in the glove compartment. He sat in the drivers seat and began to drive down the streets of LA. "Tell me about you Sofie" he asked her, he took a quick glance at her seeing that she is looking through the window of the car amazed, "Um I am 8 years old, I love drawing I guess, I am really flexible, I was not the most liked in the orphanage, I love baggy clothes, and yea" she spoke with sadden look on her face, Bryce sighed not knowing what to do or say, "Want some food?" he asked her making the girl nod quickly bringing a smile on the 21 year old, "Can you tell me some stuff about you" the blue eyed child shyly asked making Bryce smile, "Sure, I am Bryce Hall, I am twenty-one, I am social media famous, I live by myself, I helped make an content house with my friends, I love parting and drinking" he spoke making the girl smiled, Bryce smiled at her then looked at the road. "Where do you wanna go to eat?" he asked, the girl was confused she didn't know anywhere to eat, "Uh anywhere I trust you" she spoke whole heartedly making the twenty one year old grin and his heart skip a beat. 

They played music, Bryce started to dance crazily making the small girl laugh as they drive to McDonalds. "Where are we and why did you come here?" Sofie asked getting curious, Bryce was confused but answered her never the less, "Oh, we are at a fast food place and this is called a drive-thru, it's an easier way to buy food instead of standing in line" her responded making Sofie nod, Sofie made sure to mentally make of the things Bryce says. Bryce eventually got his food and he and Sofie started talking getting to know each other. "Ok pumpkin we are home" Bryce spoke making Sofie jump out the car, her eyes went wide looking at the beautiful mansion in front of her, her jaw dropped to the floor, it was beautiful, "C'mon sweetie" he spoke holding her hand, they walked together in the house, inside was much bigger than the outside, it was beautiful and grand fit for royalty. 

"Welcome home Sofie" Bryce spoke walking to the kitchen with Sofie wondering behind him, she was amazed at the beautiful architecture and flooring of the house, Bryce placed the food on the island, he then lifted Sofie up and made her sat on the island, he then distributed the food to Sofie, the father and daughter ate and talked for sometime, they ended off the night with watching an movie.

After the two finished their movie, Bryce explained to her about his social media life, his friends, the dangers of social media, he also explains that he is single and isn't ready to find her a mother which Sofie was fine with, he also explained to the eight year old about the rules of the house, and that she is going to be homeschooled. Sofie took in the information she was given like a sponge, she was happy and had no problem with Bryce had to say. "Ready to see your room?", in which the child nodded excitedly, the father and daughter made their way to an elevator that took them to the top floor, in which Sofie was greeted with an hallway, that was filled with pictures of Bryce and his friends, Bryce then led Sofie to an room at the end of the hall way, she gazed at the gray double doors in front of her, Bryce opened the doors for her she was shocked at the room, although it dull she was in love with it, the marble walls and floors, a room that was in the corner filled with shelves, her eyes then gazed at the big flat screen tv that hung on the wall, below it was a table that had an xbox, ps5, different games, movies and 4 controllers, her eyes then gazed at her big king sized bed, she slowly walked into the room eyeing the sliding door farther away from her bed, she eyed the table with a computer, and the shelves on the wall on both sides, Sofie's blue eyes gazed on the balcony with the perfect view of the sky, "I know its not much but-" Bryce was cut off by Sofie "I love it" she spoke looking around the room, she looked up seeing the chandelier and the air conditioning, "What's over their" Sofie pointed at the sliding door, Bryce smiled and led her over to the door and opened it, when Sofie looked it was her walk in closet that looked like a whole mall, although empty Sofie was in shock, seeing the empty shelves, draws, island, built in mirrors, the big chandelier, she was about to cry, "I don't deserve all of this" the small child sobbed out making Bryce out of instinct he didn't know he had, drop to his knees, in front of her, held her small hands, "Sofie you deserve the world, I don't know what happened at the orphanage, I may not know you well, but what I do know is that you deserve everything and all that is good in this world, and I promise you that you will never have to cry or be afraid, I will love and protect you no matter what ok" Bryce spoke bringing both of them to tears, "Ok Bryce I trust you" Sofie spoke making Bryce cry, he pulled her in a big hug not wanting to let her go, the two of them cried on the closet floor.

After calming down, Sofie had fallen asleep on Bryce's chest, he smiled picking her up and tucking in bed, he stared at her, he began to think, he was a father now, he had to raise Sofie on his own, in which he smiled, "Goodnight Sofie" he kissed her forehead, turned off the lights and left to his room.
