Intoxicate Me ~ A Bughead Story

Chapter 1

~Betty's Pov~

It was the last week of summer for me and my brother Sweet Pea. It also was my birthday, I'm finally 15 and I can finally join the Serpents. I'm so excited that I get to because my brother and his friends are in there.

While my brother Sweets is a Junior, I'm a Sophomore so it isn't like hanging out with a freshmen anymore. Me and Sweets have hung out a lot recently but he said I could meet his friends.

There is the girls in his group which is Toni and the girls in mine are Veronica, and Cheryl. The boys in mine is Kevin, and the boys in his are Reggie, Archie, and Jughead. We both kind of share Fangs though since he likes Kevin.

We are going to combine our groups since almost everyone was dating each other already. Veronica and Sweets, Cheryl and Toni, Kevin and Fangs, and Reggie was dating some girl names Molly.

I have met Fangs, Reggie, and Archie before but not formally. The only person I haven't met was Jughead. I don't know who he is but him and Archie sound attached at the hip.

My only hope is that everyone gets along well. The other things Sweets told me were more on the protective side, I'm not allowed to date any of his friends mainly Jughead and Reggie, I can't ever have a relationship with one even if its only kissing.

And a lot more that I don't want to get into today. A few minutes into my day I take a shower, get some coffee, and text V. I also get dressed into black distresed pants with black combat heels and a olive green tank top that shows a little too much.

I also wear my hair down and curled with very natural make-up when my phone goes off -- V texted me.

Lizzy and Veronica's messages:
(<- is Lizzy, -> is V)

-> Hey Lizzy I'm so excited about putting our friend groups together but I do have to ask... Have you seen this one he's so cute and you two would be amazing together!

<- No I haven't, who is he though? That must be Jughead since he's the only one I haven't met.

-> Girl what is it with Sweets always telling you what to do. If you like him you guys should date. Plus I have eyes everywhere so we can find out if he likes you back!

<- Yeah I know but he was like the only one Sweets told me don't start dating and I don't want him to get mad.

End of Lizzy and Veronica's messages...

After that we called and talked until Sweet Pea and Dad got back from the Wyrm. I ran out and said hello to both of them. Sweet Pea looked at me and I looked away fast. He can always tell when somethings up.

"Oh no what do you know?" He asks me.

I smile at him and reply with a simple, "nothing..."

We start packing up our things so we can all meet at the Wyrm, then we head out. Once we get there it isn't very packed but we head to the top of the bar anyway. We wait there until Veronica comes in and along follows Cheryl and Toni.

After a few everyone gets here except Jughead. I still am not sure who I'm looking for so we wait a little longer and get each others numbers.

I tell them I'm going to the bathroom and Veronica comes with me. We go in by the sinks and are carelessly talking about the hot abs that V sneaked a pic of. I never saw his face, and that's all I can think.

We run out of the bathroom when we hear someone talking to Sweet Pea. Sweets looks at me and says...

"Here's Lizzy she's great with bikes." He smiles at me, I'm not sure quite sure who this is.

I smile back, "Hey, what's up Sweets?"

"He needs help with his bike can you fix it?" He cocks his head towards the bike that looks very messed up.

"Of course," We head outside and its now only me and the guy who needed help with his bike.

I fix it up for him and we sit outside and talk for a bit. After a while I know a lot about him including that he and I will be working on the Blue and Gold together, he is 16 and a Junior. We keep talking but it feels different.

It was so easy to talk to him, I wish I knew his name. We kept talking until I got a text from Sweets asking how the bike was coming.

"Great I'm almost done," I replied. Even though we had been finished for a while. I don't know who he is but I loved talking to him. We kept inching closer, and closer, until our faces were barely apart.

He and I were laughing but once the moment dims he looks me in the eye and says, "I really like talking to you, and I think I really like you."

I smile, "Me too. It's getting cold out here though, and I have to get back inside."

He looks sad until we get up and he asks, "Can I kiss you?"

I don't even respond we just look into each others eyes and then I look to his lips. Within milliseconds we are kissing. It's gentle and soft, I like him, I really like him. After a minute or two we pull apart.

"I'm so sorry but I have to go, can we exchange number?" I ask

He smirks and chuckles, "Yeah."

We finish exchanging number but then I have to go. I walk inside and wipe my lips smiling. I go upstairs and I ask to talk to Cheryl and V about a school assignment so we step aside. Of course, I tell them everything and the guy it was.

They look really happy and I tell them I can show who it was after lunch. We then go back to our seats and Sweets tells me Jughead is coming up.

I grab my phone telling dad I would be home a little later since I had to work with Cheryl on our project. After a second I hear a familiar voice come from the other side so I turn around. The voice and face match perfectly.

Sweets looks at Jughead and says, "How did the bike go?"

"Great..." he says when he sees me, we blankly stare at one another for a moment until we offer to go pick the food up since we were late. Oh my god. I broke the one rule that Sweet Pea gave me. No kissing or dating Jughead.

What am I gonna do...
