Today was normally a special day for the dragon warrior. It would be a celebration for his 26th year of life. But the normally happy panda was down in the dumps. You see his best friend, Tigress had went on a mission a week ago, and sadly she still wasnt back yet. It killed Po knowing she wasn't here with him on his birthday.
He sighed as he stared out the window. "Come on Ti you promised." He whispered.
you see the day she had left, Po had told her that his birthday was coming up and that he really wanted her to be there. She had told him,"Po trust me I will be here on your birthday ok?" "Are you sure Ti, because it wouldn't be that great knowing that not all my friends are there with me." He responded with a sad face. "Po." She put a paw on his shoulder and said calmly,"I wont miss your birthday Po, I promise ok?" She smiled as she finished. Po smiled,"Ok."
She had left the same day and still wasn't back. Po wasn't worried until the day before his birthday. He waited and waited for her to come up the steps, but she never did, and now he sat at the windowsill, staring at the steps, hoping by some miracle she would appear right there.
Suddenly he heard someone speak up,"hey Po, what's wrong man." Po turned and saw Monkey in the door way."She still is not here." He said sadly. Monkey stared at him,"Come on man, today is your birthday, you should be up celebrating, getting ready for the surprise party we TOTALLY are not throwing for you." He said while smiling. Po gave him a small smile,"you know what your right, after all there is always next year." He said with some enthusiasm. "There's the spirit! Now, come on lets go down to the valley." He said motioning him to the door.
As they were walking down the steps Monkey spoke up,"Hey man thought I should ask, why do you care so much about Tigress being here?" He said glancing towards him. Po hesitated for a bit before saying,"because she is my friend, and I wanted all my friends to be here." Monkey smirked at him before saying,"You like her, dont you?" Po instantly blushed," W-what no of course not, why would you think that?" He said while nervously looking around. Monkey laughed while saying,"No reason, just asking."
Eventually they reached the end of the steps, where they started heading to Mr.Ping's noodle shop,"Hey dude make sure you act surprised when we get there ok, because I wasn't supposed to tell you about the party," Monkey said. Po chuckled as he gave him a thumbs up,"You got it!" He the said,"how should I look while surprised?" He then gasped and made a shocked face while saying,"like this?" Monkey bursted out laughing,"exactly like that!" He said through gasps of air, Po laughing right beside him.
They came to the entrance of the noodle shop where suddenly everyone popped out, yelling,"SURPRISE!" Po acted shocked, as everyone yelled, he stopped his facade and said,"Aw thanks guys." He scanned the room, there was lanterns, streamers, and a big sign that said happy birthday. He then looked at everyone there, he saw a bunch of villagers, his dad waving at him, and the rest of the five with Shifu, he looked for Tigress but she wasnt there. He knew she wouldnt be, but a small part of him hoped she would. He then walked In saying,"lets celebrate!" As everyone cheered.
The party went like your average party, conversations all around, small little activities for the children, some Po participated in, and people congratulating Po. He smiled talking to everyone when his dad then spoke up,"Excuse me everyone!" Everybody went silent,"It is time for cake!" he said as a large cake was put on the table in front of Po. His eyes beamed as he stared at the large cake,"Wow dad this is amazing! How much time did this take to make?" Po asked,"Ah the doesn't matter Po, all you should know is what your wishing for." Po nodded as he stared at the candles, he then thought about what he wanted. He then snapped his fingers as he decided what he wanted,"I wish... I wish that Tigress was here." He thought to himself, He then blew the candles as everyone cheered.
The party resumed its previous activities right after Po blew out his candles. He looked around and smiled, he was so lucky for what he had. He sighed contently, when all of a sudden someone asked,"What did you wish for?" The person's voice was beautiful and alluring. He spun around to be greeted by a smiling feline. Po froze on the spot. "Uh Po you ok?" Tigress asked while smiling. Po, who was now broken out of his daze, quickly hugged her and lifted her up, she squealed a bit when he did," You made it! You made it! You made it!" He repeated while spinning, Tigress laughing the whole time. He then set her back down, where he then asked,"when did you get here?" He cocked his head to the side, "I actually was here all day, I just thought it would be nice to surprise you." She responded. "Well I am so glad you are here, I thought you wouldn't make it." He said, beaming. Tigress chuckled at the panda's enthusiasm. "Well I made it, oh and here." She said as she reached into a bag. She then pulled out a neatly wrapped present, handing it to him,"happy birthday Po." She said.
Po said thanks as he took the present and opened it. Inside was a card and a medium sized black box. He opened the box to see a necklace, it was simple, there was wooden beads connected by a string, and in the middle sat a Yin and Yang sign. He took it out and stared in Aw."Tigress where did you get this." He said still staring,"I made it myself, took me awhile so you better not lose it." She said while smirking,"Are you kidding, im never taking it off!" He said while putting the necklace on,"How do I look?" he said presenting himself. He looked at Tigress and just saw her staring,"Ti?" She shook her head,"Oh uh it looks great!.. uh anyway you still need to open the card," she said pointing to it." He then brought the card to his face as he opened it. He could see in the corner of his eye that tigress was fidgeting with her hands. He then started reading.
Happy Birthday Po!
Well I am writing this for two reasons. One is to congratulate you, and the other is to tell you something I just couldn't say to your face. You see we known eachother for over, what was it, 6 years now? Yeah 6, and though at first I hated your guts, overtime I started to enjoy the little things, such as, your company, your mess ups, your laughs, your smiles, your terrible jokes/nicknames. And now It has come to a point where I just cant get enough of you. So my other reason for writing this is to tell you that I love you. And I was hoping that you love me too. And if you dont, I aleast hope we can stay friends, so when you finish reading this I hope things will go well, so see you there!

Po lowered the card and looked at the tiger, she was looking down at the floor, as if she had got caught doing something wrong, she looked up at him."sooo?" She said with a nervous smile. Po walked up to her and wrapped his arms around her. She blushed as he said,"what do you think?" He leaned in and kissed her, they both instantly melted into the kiss, completely forgetting everyone around them, who which were staring at the pair, She wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling him deeper into the kiss, Po rubbed her back as she started to purr, and after a little while they broke apart. They were gasping slightly from the lack of air. All of a sudden everyone cheered. Po could her Monkey say,"way to go Man." As Tigress heard Viper say,"took you long enough Tigress!" They both blushed as they stayed in their embrace. And as They turned and looked at each other Po smiled and said,"Best birthday ever."
