Wendy's heart was going to explode right out of her chest. She was right outside the boxing club, waiting till the 5 men checked the weapons and the surroundings for any possible threats. She didn't know it was going to be this strict, serious and intense. This also made her to think if she's dealing with someone bigger than what she's seeing. She knew absolutely nothing about this club.. except for the fact that it is definitely not legal.

Who gave me that flyer again?

Wendy asked herself in a whining tone.

"All clear. You can go up until we unload these and check them properly," a man said when he stopped his bike beside her car.

Wendy nodded and picked up her phone, sliding it in her pocket before getting out of her car. With small unsure steps, she made her way inside the club and up the stairs. She knew where Taeyeon's office was and didn't need to be guided this time too.

When she reached the office with her head hung low, she went straight in and closed the door behind herself.

"Son Seungwan," Taeyeon said.

Wendy who was startled after hearing her korean name looked up and saw the boss flipping through some pages.

"Why are you the daughter of one of the biggest drug lord and what business do you have with us?," Taeyeon looked up, standing up and walking towards the younger girl with the most serious face ever.

"And how are you.. a Son.. in need of money?," Taeyeon asked further as she suddenly slammed the shorter girl on the door behind with her face as furious as it can get.

Wendy shivered, knowing that she was looked into. She got her head up to look at the older woman, knowing that she has to come clear about her background. But from the face of it.. it didn't look like Taeyeon was ready to listen.

"Speak," Taeyeon ordered coldly, loosening her grip around the shorter girl's shoulder after seeing the latter's terrified pale face.

"I-I.. yes.. I am.. Son Seungwan..," Wendy said, her voice cracking due to all the stress. The only thing in her mind being if Taeyeon will still consider doing the exchange after hearing about her family.

Seeing the younger girl's lips quivering and eyes getting glassy, Taeyeon pulled back and took a step back to give the girl some space. She wasn't a monster that she'll beat someone a kid up just to get to know the truth.

"M-My family.. they live in Canada.. b-but I live here because.. I can't.. be like them," Wendy said, her eyes getting filled with tears.

"I hate them.. T-They're.. monsters," Wendy stated, her voice choking towards the end.

"Wanted me to turn into them.. but I.. I couldn't.. so they tortured me.. physically and mentally. But as soon as they got a male heir.. they were willing to throw me out of their lives and who was I to deny that? So I came back here... and continued with my life..," Wendy completed, looking down, trying to control the waterfall which was on the edge.

"I.. I really love.. Irene unnie.. p-please.. do the exchange," Wendy said, finally looking up to see the boss in the eye.

Taeyeon was shocked. Before Wendy came, she swore that she wouldn't believe whatever shit the younger girl makes up no matter how convincing it gets. But after hearing the story and how the younger girl was so desperate for money made her to re-consider her decisions. Maybe because she gets how Wendy is feeling right now.. at last, she fell in love with a messed up person too. Wendy's story reminds her of her Tiffany who was an escort years back and she rescued her from the dark world. Yes, Taeyeon herself has been a part of this dangerous illegal business but the story goes beyond it. They don't hurt and kill people without a very rigid and genuine reason.
