Gianna's P.O.V

You're sobbing uncontrollably, as you hold her in your arms. You rock her back and forth relentlessly, attempting to wake her as the minutes agonisingly drag by. It isn't until you're ripped from her, pulled back and lifted by the mysterious figure that you realise he's home. Accompanied by an array of EMT's who rush into the room and take action.

She's dead... I couldn't save her... she's dead.

Your pity, and anger suffocate you. You gasp, crying hysterically as you watch them undo some sort of container and move it to her nose. The doors closed in your face before you can witness anymore, and he's there, calling your name as he holds you in his arms.

"Gianna! Gianna!"

You gaze up at him as he sets you down, watching his mouth move but unable to hear the words he's speaking as he searches your face with concerned eyes. His hands are form on your shoulders, gingers tenderly stroking your skin. You're too far away. Locked in the room with the lifeless body of the kids mom, desperate to go back and change the fact you invited her against Jeremiah's wishes.

He wasn't only worried about the kids.. he was worried she would do this.

"You knew she'd do this didn't you?"

The voice that leaves your lips is foreign. Raspy and cracked. Hoarse from sobs strong enough to tear a persons throat.

"Knew she'd use again"

He lets his hands drop from your arms, and frowns.

"You were right"

"Yes. I knew she's use..."

You bite your quivering lip, believing that the guilt that threatens to end you is an appropriate punishment. You clutch your hands to your chest and shake your head.

"Rissa... she saw. I couldn't stop her. Couldn't tell her not to look"

"I know. I know... shes fine. Helena's parents are with her now"

You slowly blink, and your limbs shake.

She's never going to forget this. Not ever. She'll remember her mothers lifeless body for the rest of he life. And I'm to blame.

"I should've listened. I should've... I was stupid"

"Gianna... go detach yourself from this. Its being handled"

"I'll just get out of the way then..."

You move past him, and drift towards the stairs where heavy limbs lead you down towards your room. The shock, hurt and desperation have left, leaving you a deflated shell of what you usually are as your voidless gaze meets the ground and doesn't lift as your pass the living room arch and move down the hallway to the bedroom you know awaits to imprison you with haunting images.

Oh god... they'll have to gurney her body out. Cover it in a sheet and wheel it past Rissa... and if Grayson wakes up...

You move quickly to his bedroom door, turning the knob and quietly peering in, thankful when you see him sleeping peacefully tucked in with his thick comforter. Unaware of the terror thats lurking deep within the house in the form of an addicted mother.
