"We've always had time"

"Give me back my brother!"

"Aether!"

"Lumine, why are you with Dain?"

"Home... Yes home is wherever we are together"

"Lumine"

...

Venti stayed by Lumine's bedside with Paimon on the other side. Paimon sighed as she brought in a plate of food "Paimon is tired of waiting! How long will it be until Lumine wakes up?" Venti lowered his Lyre "It's been a week, Lisa said that she'll wake up soon now" "Paimon misses hearing Lumine" "I understand"

Paimon looked at the Bard, tilting her head slightly "Hey Tone-Deaf Bard, Paimon noticed you acting all lovey-dovey with Lumine. Paimon is fine with it but remember that Paimon will be very angry if you hurt her in any way"

Venti turned red "Lovey-dovey? What are you going on about?"

Narrowing her eyes she spoke "What do you mean what Paimon is going on about? Paimon thought you had feelings for Lumine" Before Venti could respond, Kaeya walked in "Still asleep I see" "Hey Kaeya, something you need?" "Well there is one thing, I've been meaning to ask you Bard, just how did you know that Lumine was at Dragonspine. I swore I saw you playing to a crowd before you even got to that statue" The Calvary Captain shrugged as if these were mere observations but Venti knew better.

Venti smiled "I just simply wanted to know where she was and I heard she went to Dragonspine, as such I teleported over to her and saw her rather weakly as she began to freeze" Paimon shuddered "The Tone-deaf Bard is right, were it not for him then Paimon and Lumine wouldn't have been so lucky"

"And you managed to get to Mondstadt so quickly without anyone spotting you until you got to Jean's office?"

Venti narrowed his eyes-which seemed to almost glow in fury-he could care less on Kaeya's speculations, he was more worried on Lumine's condition then this pointless integration. "Listen Kaeya, it doesn't matter how I managed to help or anything else beyond such. What matters is Lumine and her safety, anything else you wish to say?" That was that then, not wanting to poke the Bard anymore Kaeya left.

Paimon grew silent when Venti's death stare had grown and she had to admit a part of her didn't want to see him so angry. That serious expression he gave her on top Dragonspine was something that was more cold than Dragonspine itself. It wasn't anger though, more of just determination to save the Traveler (He clearly is lovey-dovey with)

A groan came from behind and Paimon moved fast to Lumine's side, the Traveler sat up and her surroundings cleared "What happened? Paimon? Why am I in a bed?" Paimon sighed as she hugged Lumine. The girl looked to her friend in surprise before smiling a bit "Thank you for the hug, but would you mind telling me?"

.

After the lengthy explaination of what befell Lumine, Lumine looked at Venti who had seemed to be rather quiet now. Paimon looked between them, while the floating companion was rather bad at social cues she could tell this is something she should let them have "Paimon is going to tell Master Jean that you're okay"

"Venti"

"What were you thinking!?"

They spoke at the same time and Lumine stopped upon his question "What are you talking about?" A surge of newfound anger swelled in Venti's chest. "Lumine you were freezing to death! If I hadn't found you then you would've surely-- You would have..." He couldn't say nor even think such a tragic thing to befall her and held his tongue.

"I'm sorry, I've lost so much recently and I tried to avoid it but it hurts everytime..." Lumine sniffed and tears were cornering in her eyes as Venti got closer and held the Traveler. "You don't have to tell me what happened, I get it. Next time just please let me know, I don't want anything bad to happen to you Lumine" He hugged her a bit tighter and Lumine cried, her tears flowing as she gripped him tightly as if nothing else mattered but them. Lumine and Venti.
