"Aether!"

...

"Venti?" Venti let Lumine go and smiled in some manner of embarrassment "Sorry, was I squeezing you too tight?" "Just a bit" The two looked each other in the eyes and smiled in the nice silence.

The door opened interrupting the silence.

"Honorary Knight, I'm glad you're awake" "Thank you for taking care of me Jean" Jean nodded and frowned "But you must know, your condition might get worse. You will be put on temporary absence from the field for a week" Lumine shot up "A week!?" "Yes, I'm sorry but you were in grave danger. Had Venti not saved you then who knows what kind of monsters would come over and hurt you, I spoke to the Qixing so they'll know to if you get any ideas about leaving to their front lines" Venti put his hand on Lumine's shoulder in comfort.

Lumine pouted "Fine I won't, I'll take a week off" Jean seemed pleased on the outcome and honestly speaking, maybe a break from all of this might be good for Lumine. It's tough being out there at times, a break sounds good. Lumine stretched out and stood up "Alright, can I at least get some food at Good Hunter?" "Let this humble Bard escort you then" Paimon crossed her arms "Nu-uh, Paimon hasn't had a moment with Lumine! Ever since she collapsed Paimon has been nothing but worried e-especially since... Paimon said some things..." Paimon's cheeks grew red and Lumine chuckled "Before we go to Good Hunter, can you guys let me talk to Paimon in private" Jean and Venti left, leaving the floating companion and Traveler. "...Paimon was worried sick, thinking you might never wake up again, you slept for a week and Paimon knows you would get better a-and yet... y-yet..." Whatever Paimon had to say was quickly interrupted by her sobs and her tears streaming down her face "Paimon wouldn't be the same without you Lumine!" Lumine was slightly stunned, Paimon has never acted like this... Her heart ached at the sight of her best friend. "Paimon..." Lumine reached her hand out, but Paimon took action and rushed in to hug her. "Please don't leave Paimon like that again! P-Please don't! Paimon can't do this without you, Lumine your my best friend. Paimon can't l-lose you!" Lumine's eyes welled with tears, she didn't truly take into account on her own friend's feelings... No one's really, she was so determined to get her brother she hadn't taken a moment to talk to Venti or Paimon.

"Paimon, let me treat you to some Sticky Honey Roast?" Paimon sniffed and wiped her tears away once letting Lumine go. "Okay"
