Silence hung in the air, the leaves rustling as the two stayed in that position, Lumine on top of Venti.
Paimon slept soundly, oblivious to whatever these two were doing.
"Okay, you won Lumine" Venti chuckled, as red as an apple. Lumine got off and smirked "Had fun?" "Now I know to never play a game like that with you"
Sticking her tongue out at the Bard, she looked at Paimon. "Sound asleep, she's quite the adorable companion" "All I ever hear is 'Tone-Deaf Bard this' and 'Tone-Deaf Bard that" He mimicked her voice just like at Stormterror's lair.
Lumine laughed and Venti smiled.
"Lumine, you asked me if I could protect you before on Dragonspine..."
She blushed remembering how she had felt a pound in her heart as he said yes. "Yeah I remember"
"Well then... Can I show you something?"
"What is it?"
"Trust me?"
"I do"
He held his hand out and Lumine took ahold, wings grew from his back and his attire changed, he took off from the ground. Holding Lumine closer, her eyes sparkled.
It's as if I have my wings back, the days we soared across the skies!
"Having fun?"
Like a child, Lumine giggled and spread her arms out. "Haha! This is so fun!" Adoring her reaction, Venti let her go. Letting the wind hold her up in the air without a Wind Glider. "How about now?"
Lumine grinned.
Below them, Paimon stirred from her slumber "Huh? What's going on- Lumine?! You're flying and Venti too!"
Lumine looked at Paimon and shouted "Come on Paimon! Join us!"
The small companions eyes sparkled, seeing her friend so happy. Paimon flew over and hugged Lumine.
