Chris and Randy fought violently in what turned into a dunking war. Soon, nearly everyone had joined in and the sides became blurry as everyone tried to best everyone else. At some point, Randy had Laura on his shoulders to give her an unfair advantage in the fight while keeping her free from the crowd.
I leaned back and my heart sighed at the sweet picture — and then someone yelled, "Chicken fight!"
There was lots of squealing and screaming as teams suddenly formed. Laughing, I edged away from the crowd, content to just watch. Besides, I missed my boyfriend...
I squealed when I felt someone moving beneath me. My hands fell on his head automatically as he lifted me out of the water. I glanced down and found that I was on Logan's shoulders. He glanced up at me. "Hold on."
I laughed and threw myself into the game. Logan and I won against three opponents but when Chris and Tisha launched a sneak attack, they took us down. I hit the water with a splash and was laughing when I surfaced and pushed water out of my eyes. Logan was treading water next to me and asked, "Okay?"
I nodded and he smirked, swimming towards me again. Warren called my name and I turned to find him crouching next to the pool, waving my phone. It took me a minute to realise that it was ringing - I couldn't hear it over the loud music and the people around me. I signalled to Logan that I was heading to Warren and swam to the side of the pool.
Warren reached in and wrapped an arm around me, pulling me out of the water. He stood and gently set me on my feet then handed me the phone. I pushed my wet hair over my shoulder as I checked and saw that Victor was video calling and I'd already missed two calls. Warren wrapped a towel around me and I flashed him a grateful smile.
"Are you enjoying your day so far, my love?" He asked huskily, wrapping strong arms around me.
I nodded. "Let me just take this."
He kissed my temple and walked way as I sat on the nearest sun lounger. I hit play and Victor turned to the screen. "Hi, beautiful."
"Hey, what's up?"
"I wanted to wish you a happy birthday."
I blushed. "Thanks."
"I haven't even started singing yet," he smirked, his blue eyes dancing with mischief.
I raised a brow. "You sing?"
"Of course I sing," he huffed and cleared his throat —
— then he said, "You're right, I don't sing. That's why I have him."
Dizzy came on screen with a huge smile. "Hi, princess. Been a while."
I couldn't help smiling back. He was dressed in all black that set a beautiful contrast with his pale skin, blond hair and sea colored eyes. "Hey Dizzy."
"So I hear it's your birthday today, and you didn't tell me," he pouted adorably.
"Stop flirting with my girl," Victor complained off screen.
"*Flip off," Dizzy replied.
They started fighting over the phone as I watched, and I rolled my eyes. "Uh, guys..."
"Oh, sorry." Dizzy won the phone back and turned a charming smile on me. "So I'm not going to go into how hurt I am that you didn't tell me about your birthday. There isn't much I can do on such short notice, but let me sing you a song. It's called — hey dips***! Get the hell off my phone!"
"Language!" Victor and I corrected at the same time.
Dizzy muttered a curse as I saw an incoming call, this time from Dizzy's phone. Rolling my eyes, I answered and Victor joined the video call. "I'm going to hang up on both of you now," I threatened.
