I slowly woke up to find Warren watching me. I smiled at him, still feeling a little heavy, and sat up slowly.

"Easy now, love," he said softly, helping me to sit up.

"Good morning," I said with a yawn.

"How are you feeling this morning?" he asked, watching me carefully.

I turned back to him — something in his voice was odd. He sounded concerned. "I feel great. Why, what happened?"

"Did you perhaps dream of unpleasant things?" he pressed.

Dream? I frowned and dropped my eyes, thinking it through. Then I realised that he was shirtless and my mind went blank. Suddenly all I could see was that large expanse of muscle. My mouth went dry and my eyes traced every ridge and dip on his chest and arms.

My face heated up when I remembered last night, remembered how I had basically begged him to....

"Belle?" Warren's voice brought me back. When I looked up, he was staring at me in surprise. Then he laughed, a rich sound that told me he knew exactly where my mind had gone.

I blushed deeper but I couldn't deny that I really, really wanted to kiss him. I bit my lip, debating.

"What are you presently considering?" he asked lightly, that teasing light still in his eyes.

Ah, screw it.

I dove at him, throwing my arms around him as I pressed my lips to his. Forgetting, of course, that I didn't know my own strength. I took him by surprise and because of my new supernatural strength that we were both getting used to, he couldn't catch me in time. We went flying back onto the floor, Warren's arms instinctively wrapping around me to keep me from hurting myself.

When he landed on his back, I pulled back in surprise and concern. He took in my wide eyes and threw his head back laughing again.

"Is this why you were screaming first thing in the morning?" Ashley asked from the doorway.

I sat up suddenly, turning to her in shock. "What?"

Roger snickered from behind her. "Rise and shine, Belle. We have a perimeter to check."

I squealed and scrambled up, completely ignoring Ashley's comment as I raced over to him. "Really? Right now?"

"It's best to go before breakfast," he explained, amused by my excitement. He looked over my shoulder at Warren. "What's her day look like, alpha?"

I glanced back at Warren who was now sitting up, still on the floor. My heart skipped a beat. His hair was falling over one side of his face and his arm was thrown carelessly over his knee. His eyes met mine and he couldn't quite hide his frustration.

"I leave that in your hands," he said to Roger but kept his eyes on me. "You have permission to train her as you see fit."

"I can't help you out today," Ashley said to me, turning away from her brother. "I have errands to run for Mom."

"Guess it's just you and me," Roger shrugged. "Get ready, we're out in 5." He turned and followed Ashley and when I made to follow him, Warren caught my arm and pulled me back. I fell against his chest, blushing again as his warmth pressed against me.

He leaned in to whisper in my ear, "Will you make good on your threat?"

"What threat?" I managed breathlessly.

He pressed a shirt into my hands and stepped back. I blushed again at the sight of his Tee shirt as I remembered my threat to wear his shirts on perimeter runs.
