When Amèlie said Blitzen should be jealous of us, I hadn't known what to say, inside I felt a complexity of emotions that I didn't know how to handle. The suggestion that she wanted me in any way more than at arms length was something I could only wish for. I walked past her so she couldn't read my thoughts by my telling facial expressions, brushing her off coldly.

I put my music on, wanting to hide from her, too not have to think that she was going to be with some guy for the first time ever by her own choice.

Part of me wished she had chose Mally, I knew he was flaky, and no relationship with him ever lasted. But Darren, he played for keeps. He never even looked at other girls, since he admitted his crush on Amii, and now he had almost kissed her.

I didn't want to lose her.

The problem with this house, was that it was only two bedrooms. Zayne and Penteluck had one, and Amèlie and her pet wolf had the other, but now as a human, I needed space. We couldn't share a room, not with these feelings inside me. In this house, I had nowhere to be alone.

'Are you okay?' Zayne asked pulling my headphones off my head. 'You look like you want to kill someone.' She threw herself beside me on the sofa, proving my point in my mind at the lack of privacy.

'I think,' I began, then turned off the music. 'I want to move out.' I said.

Zayne stared at me like I had two heads. 'Why?'

I sighed, then let it all out. 'How old is Amèlie now?' I started.

Zayne frowned, not sure where I was going with this. 'Seventeen.' She replied folding her arms.

'Right, and how old am I?' I asked, I wasn't sure if she knew.

But then the realisation dawned on her face. 'Nearly twenty.' She said uncomfortably.

'Right.' I agreed, 'and how many bedrooms do we have?'

She looked down. 'You don't have to leave.'

'Great,' I laughed unamused, 'so I'm nineteen and still have to share a room with someone I can never....' I let my explanation go, and shook my head. 'I need space.' I said finally looking at Zayne.

'But you protect her,' Zayne said softly, putting her hand on my leg, I shook it off, I hadn't forgiven her enough for her to break personal space. 'She needs you.'

'Then she can come with me.' I met Zayne's gaze with my own, unyielding stare. 'That was my plan anyway.'

'What plan?' Amèlie asked walking in with a slice of toast in her mouth and a plate of toast she offered to me.

Zayne's eyes dropped first, to the toast then back to Amèlie. 'Asha wants to leave.'

Amèlie looked at me and frowned.

'I want you to come with me.' I added.

'I won't allow it,' Zayne stood then, 'since you are only seventeen I have parental rights.' She said sharply.

Amèlie rose her eyebrow. 'Bold of you to assume I'd jump the chance to leave.' She looked at me then. 'I made you some toast.' Then, 'do you have a place in mind?' She asked me not sitting down, or giving away her opinion.

I shook my head and picked up a slice and took a bite. I heard her swallow and exchange glances with her mum.

'Let me know when you do.' She left the room.
