'Asha?' My mind couldn't process what I was seeing. Or rather it refused to, after having entered the house, not even quietly I couldn't tear my gaze from what I saw. Zayne, pinned against the wall by her throat, Asha looking for all the world like he was about to kill her. His wolf like claws had formed where his nails had been, his teeth began the process of sharpening before I interrupted. Seeing them like this, I instantly felt my neck hurt, my body burning with pain, from claws.

He let her go, gaining control of his senses he turned to me.

'Amii,' He looked back at Zayne as she rubbed her throat in silence. 'It's not what it looks like.' I wanted to hear him out, but in my eyes, he was already guilty.

My eyes flickered between them. 'Where is Penteluck?' I asked observantly. He never failed to keep Zayne safe.

Asha squirmed uncomfortably.

'Where is he Asha?' I asked louder. 'What were you doing to my mum?' I never thought he would have been able to take down Penteluck.

Blitzen strode through the door in that moment, and stood behind me. 'What did I miss?' He sounded falsely curious, my suspicion was that he had already knew.

'What the fuck are you doing here?' Asha ignored my questions to stare at him. 'Was having her the whole day not enough?'

'I think you should return Penteluck now.' Blitzen chuckled moving so close behind me I felt his body against mine.

A feral animalistic growl escaped Asha's lips, but to return Penteluck he clenched, then unclenched his fist, flicking his fingers as he did. 'Appear.' He snarled.

In that moment the lights shattered, the bulbs popping leaving the house in the light of the setting sun. A window cracked and the invisible force of Penteluck took down Asha, snarling and shifting before me he rolled on the floor, both me and Zayne standing at opposite sides, watched as his wolf body gained slash after slash, a crunch and a yelp, Asha was throw through the window onto the garden outside, still being savagely attacked by Penteluck who stayed invisible the whole time.

For a short while I watched, allowing Penteluck to give justice.

But the longer he persisted on bloodshed, the more Asha began to fall. His legs struggled to hold his body, as more blood soaked the grass around him. Fighting an invisible force, he had no chance and Penteluck wasn't slowing in his onslaught.

'Penteluck,' I shouted over the snarling. 'Stop.'

He ignored me.

Zayne looked worriedly to me then back.

'Mum,' I shouted to her. 'Make him stop!'

She shook her head. 'Why should I?' She sneered childishly. 'What would you do if he did that to you?'

I shut up, was she hinting, digging to find out what my reaction would be?

Blitzen, still standing behind me chuckled quietly.

'If you don't stop him then I will.' I made to step forward, only to have Blitzen's arms snake around me and hold me. 'Let go!' I ordered.

'Quiet.' He replied, then looking at where Asha now lay still, panting heavy and blood stained, Blitzen, with his free hand pointed at the air above Asha. His mouth came to my ear to speak to me. 'Do you see it Amèlie?'

I looked where he was pointing, not sure what to be looking for.

'Focus there,' His cheek was beside mine as though he had lowered to my level to get a similar view as me. He pointed once more.
