A Survivor in Maple Tree{Rewrite}

Prologue

{A/n: Hey everyone Roach here with a rewrite of one of my stories. I hope you guys enjoy it! DISCLAIMER: I DO NOT own Sword Art Online or Bofuri: I Don't Want to get Hurt so I'll Max Out my Defense!}

*Gun Gale Online*

In the vast wastelands of Gun Gale Online in a ruined city there where robots roamed the city and attacked anyone and anything in sight. These robots were actually a type of monster that players of GGO can take down for EXP. Two players in the area who appeared to be teenagers were resting on the 18th floor of one of the ruined skyscrapers. One was a young man and the other was a young woman. The young man has dark black hair and crimson red eyes and was wearing a light tan green military style jacket with a blue shirt underneath. Over the jacket was a brown colored metal plate wrapped in fabric to stop spalling(Fragmentation created on bullet impacts) that was made from an in game alloy that can stop most armor piercing rounds up to 7.62, on his lower half he was wearing light tan green military style pants and black boots. On his hands were black gloves and on his right thigh was a holster holding a H&K P226 9mm pistol. Leaning against the wall next to him was an ACR assault rifle with an M203 Grenade launcher he got from a rare drop. He was sitting on the floor leaning against the wall looking at his status menu. The young woman next to him has pale blue swaying hair that was casually short, but there was a tuft of hair tied up on both sides of her forehead, and indigo colored eyes. Her combat attire consists of a desert-colored military jacket, bulletproof armor of the same color, and combat boots, as well as a white muffler around her neck.

She was sitting next to him with her PGM Ultima Ratio Hecate II Anti-Material Rifle leaning against the wall next to her and with in reach if they were attacked. "Hey Sinon take a look at this?" The guy said to the girl next to him and she looked at his menu.  "Hmm it's an add for a new game called New World Online. I've heard about that game!" Sinon said and he nodded. "Yeah me too. I've actually been thinking about giving it a try." The guy said and Sinon looked at him. "Kakogan you know how you reacted in ALO. Do you think you'll be able to handle another game similar to SAO?" She asked him and he nodded slightly. "Yeah but it's been a few months since I tried the game last. I know I nearly had a breakdown from it but after playing GGO I thought I might could try a more similar game but I still don't think I'm ready to play ALO sine it has Aincrad in it." Kakogan replied and Sinon nodded. "True. Alright then how about we try it together?" Sinon said taking his hand into hers and he smiled and looked at her. "Of course! After all I enjoy playing VRMMOs with my girlfriend!" Kakogan said and Sinon giggled and smiled at him.

*A Few Days Later, IRL*

After school ended for the day Grant was at the Dicey Cafe chatting with his friends Asuna, Kazuto, and his girlfriend Asada. "So you two are trying that new game New World Online right?" Kazuto asked and Grant nodded. "Yeah that's right. I want to try a melee type game like SAO." Grant said and Kazuto nodded as Andrew walked over with their drinks. "I heard it's gotten really popular as of late. People are calling it the next big VRMMO!" Andrew said and they nodded. "That's what I heard too." Grant said and Kazuto nods. "I've actually been looking to try it but it might be a few weeks or so before I can get the chance unfortunately." He said and Asuna nodded. "Same with me. My mom really wants me to keep my grades up for the rest of the semester so I don't have time to try any new games!" Asuna said and Grant nodded. "I see. Well when you two get a chance we should all join together as a party and do some quests!" Asada said smiling. "That sounds good to me!" Asuna said smiling and Andrew smiled. "Perhaps I should start a shop in this new game?" Andrew said rubbing his chin.  "Well as long as we get discounts as your prices are crazy!" Grant said with a chuckle and Andrew rolled his eyes while smiling. "Hey I price things fairly!" He replied as he returned to the bar. Grant chuckled as he took a sip from his drink and continued to chat with Asada, Asuna, and Kazuto. 

Later that day Grant was at home getting New World Online set up on his AmuSphere while talking to Asada over speaker phone. "So you finished getting the game set up?" Asada asked him and he nodded. "I just finished. How about you?" Grant asked her and she smiled and nodded. "Me too. So I guess I'll see you in game!" She said and Grant smiled. "Yeah. See you soon!" He replied and she nodded. The two then proceeded with converting their avatars over to New World Online and Grant chose a two handed sword as his weapon and Sinon chose a bow as her weapon. Then the two entered the game's world. What these two didn't know was that they were going to have an interesting meeting with a unique girl.
