South of a city off the coast, there's a smaller second civilization that was formed for the purpose of aiding gems that had their minds lost in catching up to modern times. This was Little Homeworld, a settlement that was created by the universe's bringer of peace Steven Quartz Universe and the Crystal Gems. Amidst the Crystal Gems, there was Garnet. A fusion of a Ruby and a Sapphire that formed a love so powerful, their fusion is an embodiment of their very marriage. There was Amethyst, an overcooked Quartz soldier spawned from the Prime Kindergarten who had a tomboyish attitude to her. There was Pearl, a used to be servant gem that is now self functioning and self sufficient. There was Lapis Lazuli, a former terraforming gem turned to freedom fighter and refugee. There was Peridot, one of the technical geniuses who aided in the creating and construction of Little Homeworld. Finally there was Bismuth, an expert blacksmith who also aided in building Little Homeworld.

As the denizens of Little Homeworld went about their daily activites, their educations and the like. They were all caught off guard by a loud pulsating hum, that kept growing louder and louder before stopping as a pillar of rainbow light shot into the air. Cutting through the clouds and the whirring being replaced with a loud, rhythmic twinkling. Everyone was mesmerized by this light, only to be snapped out of their stupor when the twinkling was overtaken by a loud echoing roar that even though it came from miles away sounded it like it was right in front of them. The pillar quickly shrank and receded, the light and the noises stopping outright. Once the mesmerization was over, a sense of fear began to set in. They all recognized what that light was, what that twinkling was. It was the sound of a gem regenerating its physical form. That was something they had all been numb to. What they feared though...was the amount of energy released from that gem.

Normally, a fusion is only capable of such high amounts of energy being output when their components regenerate and refuse. This however seemed as though whatever gem had just woken up...was always fused together. The Crystal Gems were most afraid, because the sight they witnessed brought back flashbacks of when they had to contend with the Cluster back in the day. That roar didn't give high hopes either.

"Well....that sounded like a gem who's now lost...should we...go to find them?" Pearl asked her fellow Crystal Gems, unnerved by what they witnessed.

"We have to, right? It would be what Steven would do," Amethyst responded, recalling the gem human hybrid and his genuine care for all living things.

"It would be...but I'm not sure this gem will be too receptive of us. They might have been on Homeworld's side back during the war. They might not be too friendly," Garner interjected, partially using her future vision to attempt to foresee any possible outcomes.

"Half the gems here were from the war. From both sides, and they all love Little Homeworld. I'm sure whoever this is, we'll convince them," Amethyst said, trying to pump some optimism into the situation.

"We know where that was right? There's a warp pad there?" Pearl asked. It was then that Peridot came to add her insights.

"It might have been an old Homeworld Armory Vault. Where we stored our old energy weapons before advancing to Destabilizers. Along with our more unorthodox armaments," She said.

"So we just head there and find this gem right? Ease peasy," Amethyst said as the Crystal Gems made their way to Little Homeworld's central warp pad. It connected them to all other warp pads throughout the universe.

"You know where it is Peridot. You warp us there," Garnet politely instructed. Peridot thought about the space she was thinking of, the warp pad lit up and the Crystal Gems were all swept into the beam of teleportation that carried them to their location. The light left the central pad, carrying them across the world to where Peridot believed that pillar came from.

"The armory is overgrown, so it should be hard to find any gem if they're still....here...uh," Peridot trailed off, as they arrived and witnessed the devastation done to the area. The land was scorched, the dirt had been charred and any plant life was nonexistent up until a certain radius. It took the gems aback the damage that had been done in what was only a few seconds of light.

"This...this is terrifying...no gem should be capable of this," Pearl said, her mouth covered in horror.

"When we see the gem that caused this, they better have a good explanation," Peridot said, stepping off the warp pad and looking around. Garnet looked off in a direction and grabbed the other gems to keep them close. The gems were quiet, and the sound of footsteps began making itself known.

"We won't need to look for them...they found us first," Garnet said.
