The Crystal Gems heard the roar from the temple, running outside and seeing the shadow from where they were.

"What the HECK IS THAT?!" Amethyst asked in shock.

"That's what Ermac saw when he was meditating," Garnet answered with a terrified look.

"What?! Is that his corrupted form?! Is that a thing that can happen with fusions?!" Pearl asked in panic as they all started running into the Warp Pad to get to Little Homeworld. Meanwhile in Little Homeworld, Ermac was in a frenzy. He had seemingly snapped, as the denizens of Little Homeworld tried to evacuate. Ermac was about to start smashing stuff, as he suddenly felt his leg get snapped at the knee. He looked down and saw an orange blur that had collided head on with his leg.

"YOU WILL NOT DESTROY MY DIAMOND'S LITTLE HOMEWORLD!!" Jasper yelled as Ermac collapsed down to a single knee from the lack of his other leg. Ermac raised his fist up, ready to smash down onto Jasper before a lash of water pierced through Ermac's hand and pulling it back while forming a shackle. Lapis started manipulating the ocean water to try and restrain Ermac, making another water shackle that pierced through and locked around Ermac's other hand. Ermac was fighting against Lapis's hold, as Lapis began dragging Ermac towards the ocean. Ermac was roaring as he fought the pull, suddenly feeling another pull against the back of his head. Peridot trying to use her ferrokinesis to aid Lapis in pulling Ermac back, manipulating the metal housing of Ermac's gem to move him back.

Bismuth was trying to slash out Ermac's other leg, giving him no ability to dig his feet in to resist any of Lapis's and Peridot's powers. She turned her hands into axe blades and tried slashing at the armored plating, which left scratch marks but not many actual slashes. Then Bismuth slashed into the armorless muscle fibers on the back of his leg, which made his leg go limp as any sense of motion that leg had was cut temporarily. Which means that Ermac was being yanked into the ocean by Lapis and Peridot. While his legs were trying to reconnect and reactivate, Lapis had shackled and bound him further into the ocean. The warp pad lit up and the Crystal Gems popped out.

"Lapis! Peridot! What happened?! I thought you were going to help Ermac?!" Pearl asked in shock.

"I thought I was making progress! I made him see he wasn't a monster like he thought he was!" Lapis yelled, struggling to restrain Ermac.

"I just asked him what gem he was when he tried to enroll into Little Homeschool. Then he started listing random gems and then collapsed and then turned into that thing!" Peridot said, handing the gems her clipboard to prove her point. They were all shocked when Peridot wrote down all the different types of gems Ermac said he was.

"Of course. He doesn't have a single gem. You ask someone with 10,000 identities who they are; they'll give you every other identity except their own. Ermac doesn't have his own identity yet!" Garnet pieced together.

"So I set him off?! I didn't mean to!" Peridot said in realization.

"You didn't do anything wrong Peridot! I got too hasty and thought he was ready for Little Homeschool!" Lapis said, taking the blame for what in reality was her fault.

"Uh....guys? What's he doing?" Amethyst asked, pointing towards Ermac. He had hunched himself over, and that pulsing hum sound started again. Except this time, his muscle fibers were glowing a rainbow color. His armor plating turning to the verdant green that his powers were. The pulsing got louder and faster and higher in pitch, as they collectively realized something bad might be about to happen.

"Uh oh!" Lapis said as she pulled Ermac further back into the ocean to try and dampen the potential devastating attack. The glow went fully into the green of his armor, and Ermac let out a loud roar that released a blast wave of the familiar energy blast. The blast wave pushed back the ocean, causing a large tidal wave. Any gem that got swept into the blast was coated in the green energy and then forced back a ways away from where Ermac was. Garnet and Jasper were able to stand their ground, Garnet using Amethyst's whip to catch her and hold her. Jasper catching Lapis, who caught Peridot. Once they regained their footing, Lapis used her powers to send the wave crashing back onto Ermac. Ermac was pushed back and rebound by the water chains and shackles.

"How do we snap him out of this?!" Pearl asked as she watched Ermac thrash and fight.

"This is Steven all over again! Except this time, hugging and saying it'll be fine won't work!" Amethyst yelled.

"Then we do things the old fashioned way!" Garnet replied.

"We would need Alexandrite to try and stand a chance against that!" Pearl responded.

"So we form Alexandrite," Garnet casually replied. Garnet, Amethyst and Pearl grabbed hands and turned to light. Their gemstones changing to the greenish reddish tone of their four gem fusion, Alexandrite. It was now that they realized how tall Ermac was compared to them right now. They were about a sixth of Ermac's current height, which means he could have been able to try and attack the Diamond Ship and have a chance of winning. Pearl had a good idea though.

"If we're so small compared to him, than our strikes have more focused pressure!" Pearl said within Alexandrite.

"Good thinking Pearl! We can use Sardonyx's hammer to try and bring him down to size!" Garnet said within Alexandrite as they merged Garnet's gauntlets and Pearl's spear to make a large warhammer. They ran to the ocean, noticing thay Ermac was slowly charging up for that blast wave again.

"Oh no you don't!" Lapis said as she formed a bubble of water around Ermac, which shined as the light filling the bubble. Ermac let out a gargled roar, letting out the energy wave. The energy wave was caught and dispersed within the water bubble he was trapped it. It expanded and shook, enveloped in a green glow before the glow faded. Alexandrite was about to smack Ermac with their hammer attack, when a pink portal opened in front of Ermac's face. From the portal they heard a voice they haven't heard in quite a while.

"Lion! Ramming speed!" The voice yelled as a pink lion leapt out of the portal, with a grown figure on top. A pink shield in one hand and a sword with a star on the hilt in the other hand. The figure leapt from Lion, ramming Ermac's face with the shield and causing Ermac to go off balance briefly.

"Is that...?" Alexandrite asked as she caught the slow falling figure onto thr palm of her hand. Their fluffy dark brown hair tied into a ponytail, wearing a pink jacket with a black shirt with a yellow star with a pink diamond drawn in the middle.

"Hey guys. Miss me?" Stevonnie asked.
