I'm trapped behind the bars
Of a gladiator ring
I see people fall before me
Women, men and children alike
And I try to unsee
Turn my head away, but
The noise keeps getting louder in every moment that passes
And I feel as helpless as never before
I hear cries and pleas and deafening sirens
Fading dreams , fading hopes and smiles
And all I do is pray, Pray for that noise
May every prayer get heard ,Oh Lord
Nobody deserves this wreckage
And for everyone out there all I can say is
Just hold on to hope
On the other side of the ring I see,
The flames getting uglier
Burning everything in their way,
Green crops are reduced to ashes
Many starving to death, but
The people in power are rallying
"It's no big deal" they say,
Oh I've never felt so helpless
And I'm tired feeling that way
And all I can do is pray, pray, pray,
May the unheard be heard
May the fallen find peace
Nobody deserves this wreckage
Nobody deserves this.
And to everyone out there
Facing the demons worse than death
All I can say is that I know
The sun will shine on us again
I hope that it will soon
I pray for it to soon.
