In a crowd full of faces,
personalities,
Bustling passions and
haunting dreams,
It's yours that I search for
and I would have been
alone forever in this hustle,
if only wasn't you,
Giving your hand, Lifting me up, every time
Amongst all the mirages and false hopes
You are the oasis, my friend..
Swimming with the current,
I wanted to run away
You showed the arrowheads
pointing towards my ambitions and said
"Go ahead, don't be afraid, I'll be always there for you",
I bet I would be too..
I can't repay you, my friend..
Chose me over dazzling stars
Chose me to borrow my scars,
my likes, dislikes, my hopes and hurts
Chose me for all those endless calls
And I Choose you to be in my heart,
Choose you to be my friend for evermore..
And there have been stinging days
Of miscommunications
When I felt our house was made of cards
and the winds blew harsh,
the storm was getting worse
with everyday when I went undisturbed.
But we emerged better than ever
cuz our foundations are strong
And I know that this will last for evermore..
