"Damn it, Zenitsu!"
Giyuu shook his head and sighed as Zenitsu stepped on a tripwire.
"Uh, oh- GYAAAAAAA!"
The tripwire snags Zentisu's foot and hangs him upside down, suspended in mid-air. (Yes, this is very similar to Urokodaki's trap. Demons can learn, y'know.)
The rope suddenly vibrated, giving off bell sounds. The tripwire triggered an alarm to alert demons nearby.
"TANJIROOO!" Zenitsu screamed. "DO SOMETHING!"
Tanjiro tried to cut the rope, but it was quite tough, and needed more force. Tanjiro, in a state of desperation, climbed the tree and tried to slice off the rope, moving his blade back and forth like a saw.
"HURRY UP, TANJIRO!!!" Zenitsu screamed. "I'M GONNA DIE, BUT I HAVEN'T MARRIED NEZUKO YET!"
"Shut up with your gross fantasies!" Tanjiro yelled back. The last guy he would entrust his sister to was Zenitsu. He was his friend, sure, but he was still a crybaby. It would probably stress out Nezuko too much to take care of him.
"How dare you call it a fantasy!" Zenitsu shouted. "When I get out of here, I'm gonna- YAAAAAA!"
The rope was cut, and Zenitsu fell face first into the ground. Unfortunately, so did Tanjiro. As Zenitsu got up, he was immediately forced back down by Tanjiro's body.
Giyuu could hear rustling. Immediately, he grabbed the two inside a shrub and clasped their mouths, quieting them down.
Zenitsu was still shouting in Giyuu's grasp, but Tanjiro was trying to pull Giyuu's hand off.
"Keep it down, you two!" Giyuu whispered. "This can go on much smoother if we just-"
Tanjiro pointed at something, and Giyuu finally understood.
Nezuko's box was lying there, out in the open. It must have fallen out when Tanjiro fell from the tree. Giyuu was going to reach for it, but it was too late. The demons made it there first.
"GAAAAAH, they escaped!" Said the first demon. He was real buff, but not buff enough to be called muscular.
"That's the fourth time this week!" Said the second demon. He was much taller, but a whole lot skinnier. He almost looked like a skinwalker, if it weren't for his clothes.
"What's this?" said the third demon as he looked at Nezuko's box. He was the shortest of the three, and he was also the youngest, but certainly not a child.
The short demon picked up the box, but immediately dropped it, as he felt something moving inside.
"Guys, there's something inside here!" He called out.
"You think it's a chicken?" The skinny one asked.
"No, I hear grunting... it must be a child!" The buff one asked. "Quickly, open it and kill it before it escapes!"
The short demon slowly opened the box. His eyes lit up as he saw what was inside. In fact, all of their eyes lit up.
Nezuko slowly crawled out of the box. She seemed quite neutral, not knowing exactly what was going on, but not caring either.
