"Just admit it you like shorty and your life is too depressing that you're too scared to ask him but you're asking me instead." She bounces her eye brows with a devilish grin.
"N-no Hange he is only my corporal nothing more...can you keep secrets?" I say.
"Yeah you can trust me [y/n]!" She places her hand on her heart proudly.
"Proof?"
"I'll eat this..!" She says pulling a a really disgusting thing.
"What is that?" I say looking unimpressed.
"This loaf of bread many decades years old! Walls i wonder it taste like?" She looks at it with glee.
"You know what Hange...i think i trust you." I look at her in concern and disgust.
"Aww okay." She says putting the ancient bread away.
"Okay so i was born in the underground and i used to know this guy and well... Levi reminds me of him a lot so thats why i want to know his backstory." I explain nervously.
"Ahh i see, well sit down i will tell you." She says sitting down with a small smile.
"I have known Levi for maybe ten years now and he did trust me to tell him his childhood...he lived in the underground too." She retorts.
"O-oh?" I widen my eyes.
"He said that he had a mother and a best friend who lived with him but his mother died so his uncle took care of them." She says stroking her chin as i nod in interest.
"If you're wondering how he got up here he was a criminal and Erwin caught him and he had two choices and Levi chose to join the Survey Corps and-" she explains but i cut her off.
"That best friend should be me! Yes i lived with a boy and his mother because he saved me from those creeps." I say slamming my hands on the table.
"Yippee then im sure its really him" she stood up bouncing like a toddler.
She then pauses.
"But one thing." She turns her face in concern.
"Hm?" I hum.
"He said that he wants to forget everything, everyone and every memory in the underground so i dont know if he will believe you or anything." She looks at me in worry.
"Dont worry at least i will try and try." I say in determination.
Stubborn and determined are the same thing, passion and obsession, single-minded and focused. So see me in the light or the shadows, because what you see is a reflection of your own neurology. Is he empathic or cold? I am determined, i will be focused on getting Levi back. All of those are good attributes.

"Good luck!" She grins at me.
"Thank you Hange what could i do without you?" I say hugging her which she hugs me back with a laugh.
"Also the meeting is scheduled tomorrow, if Erwin approves you for your injuries you'll be part of it." She reminds me.
"Yeah thanks." I say and exit her lab.
It cant be him...but it is. Has he really hit his growth spurt too? I was always taller than him now look at him, he is like two inches taller than me...hm!
Yeah it is him im pretty sure and convinced enough!
The way he calls people brats is what he did back then. Check.
