“You guys were fucking amazing! I hate to say goodbye but it’s got to be done, goodnight everybody!” Alex shouted into the mic walking off the stage grabbing the water bottle off the speaker meeting up with Shay he grinned wrapping his arms around her nuzzling his nose into the crook of her neck pressing his lips gently on the lower part.
“I’m fucking tired”
“Then we should go to bed”
“Sounds fucking great, lets go.”
Jack walked off the stage moments later his phone going off, he took it out of his back pocket putting it to his ear, “Hello?”
“Heey Jacky, baby what is up?!”
Jack raised an eye brow, “Roo are you drunk?”
“ahhahaha no.. well maybe just a – yeah”
Jack sighed, “Why did you go out and get drunk?” he asked walking passed Alex and Shay.
“I didn’t go out and get drunk silly, Josh, Josh and John got me drunk, have you ever had cotton candy vodka and and um.. um what was it called? Ah no fuck it I’ll think of it later.”
Jack shook his head even though she couldn’t see it and sighed one he got to the bus stepping inside walking straight toward his bunk he sighed as he laid down but laughed a little, “I should get you drunk one day.” He said.
“I sir just might let you, I don’t- I don’t ever get completely drunk enough.” Roo slurred.
Jack chuckled, “Are you sure about that? You sound pretty wasted to me.” He said.
“Well having a full battle, battle bottle of vodka don’t really help, but it does really help.” Roo said.
“That’s why you share the bottle of Vodka.” Jack said.
Alex and Shay walked onto the bus Alex’s arms wrapped around Shay from behind they were laughing and talking as they walked passed Jack’s bunk hearing him talking on his cell Shay smiled, “Hey Roo!” Shay shouted as she walked passed his bunk climbing up on Alex’s.
“Shhhhh, shuuush.”
Jack laughed, “I think someone needs to go to bed” He said.
“I just want to talk to you”
“We can till you fall asleep.”
“Do I have to lay down now?”
Jack chuckled, “Unless you want to fall over and hit the ground when you fall asleep talking to me.”
“That would hurt”
“Then my best suggestion is to lay down” Jack said
“Hold that thought” Roo said dropping the phone and ran to the bathroom.
Jack raised an eye brow “Roo? You still there?”
Josh had picked the phone up after hearing Jack was still on it,“She’s… puking she’ll call you back.”
“No, keep him on the phone!” Roo shouted.
Jack sighed shaking his head, “She can call back I need to take a shower tell her I’ll pick the phone up when she calls.”
“Will do” Josh said hanging the phone up. “He said to call back! That he’s gotta take a shower but promises to answer when you call!” Josh shouted.
“I should have just told him the truth, that I just needed to hear his voice, and I’m never eating cotton candy again.” Roo said.
Josh shook his head, “If you miss him then why don’t you go back to him? What’s stopping you?” he asked.
“I don’t want to hurt anymore”
“Is that all you’re worried about? I’m pretty sure he’s not going to hurt you anymore after telling the poor guy that you moved back here to PA.” he said.
“It’s not just him, Holly’s so unpredictable now it scares me to think she might try something.” She said with a sigh.
Jack had gotten out of the shower after staying in there for a good 10 minutes he had a towel around him hearing his cell go off he raised an eye brow looking at it smiling a bit seeing Roo’s name and put it up to his ear.
“Feel better?”
“Turns out just emptied my stomach, and I’m more tired than before.”
Jack smiled walking out of the bathroom turning out the lights hearing giggles from Alex’s bunk and shook his head, “Then you should sleep if you feel that way Roo.” He said.
“Jack I lied to you, I wasn’t drunk but I was eating a lot of Cotton Candy, and very sleepy deprived and I don’t think the baby liked it.” Roo said looking down biting her lower lip even though he couldn’t see.
Jack smirked on the other end, “Did someone just miss my voice?” he asked rummaging through his bag.
“Yeah Josh really misses you” Roo said with a giggle.
“If it makes you feel better Josh isn’t the only one that misses you.” Roo added in.
Jack raised an eye brow, “Oh? And who else missed me?” he asked.
“Well John said he’s going to fuck your face when he sees you next, so I’m guessing him.” Roo said chuckling.
Jack’s eyes went wide once he found his boxers and flannel pants, “Should I be scared? Or should I enjoy it?” Jack asked.
“I’m not sure Phil said he can get rough”
Jack laughed and shook his head, “I’m not sure if I want to go there or not when we come home for two days then.” He said biting his lip.
“You’re coming home? When?”
Jack grinned, “Someone’s excited.” He laughed. “In a few weeks I think we’re doing a show then we have two days off then it’s back on the road again.” He said.
“Don’t flatter yourself, I just didn’t know.” Roo said.
Josh over herd as he walked passed her room, “SHE MISSES YOU! DON’T LET HER LIE TO YOU!” He shouted.
“ahaha Josh is off his meds late at night ahahahah.”
Jack shook his head, “Roo I know you better than that.”
“He is off his meds tho.” Roo said. “You know Josh, he’s hes…. Stupid.” Roo mumbled quietly.
“Roo, spill.” Jack said sternly. “Do you miss me?” he asked. “And don’t change the subject.” He added.
“I’m not changing the subject.” Roo said. “Hey did Shay give you that thing I made?”
Jack smiled looking at his wrist, “Yeah I’m wearing it right now.” He said.
“Thought you might like the little Jack charm”
Jack smiled weakly looking down at it, “Yeah I do” He said and continued to stare down at it thinking not realizing how quiet he had gotten he bit his lower lip, “Hey Roo, I should get going early start tomorrow I’ll call you though.” He said quietly blinking back a few tears not wanting her to know he started crying.
“I do miss you” Roo said as she started falling asleep.
Jack sighed hearing her say that, “I miss you too and I’m sorry for hurting you.” He said quietly.
Roo yawned, “Its fine”
Jack laid there looking up at Alex’s bunk wiping away the tears, “It’s not” he said.
“Okay” Roo said sleepily.
“Goodnight Roo, I’ll call you in the morning” Jack said closing his eyes a little the phone still at his ear.
“Night”
Jack fell asleep not even having enough time to hang up the phone.
