"Amanda, it's okay." Ashlee says. "Do you want us to call your parents?" She says, wheeling me to the ER. "No." I respond sternly. "What about JC?" She says, handing me my phone. "Yeah, I guess I probably should." I dial his number and it rings three times before he answers. "Yeah?" He says, tiredly. "I'm getting kidney surgery." I say. "Can you come to the hospital?" I ask. "Yes, of course. I'll be there in 5 minutes." He says, and then hangs up. When JC gets there, I am in surgery.
