"So." Rachel starts. "I don't want to talk about it." I say, holding Jackson. JC goes for Sofia, but I grab her hand and pull her to Rachel. "We're having a sleepover at Aunt Rachel and Uncle Hayes's house." I say. JC flips me off, and I turn around. "Let's go home to get you guys' stuff." Rachel says, and we get in the car. Hayes speeds to my house, and I get pajamas and an extra set of clothes for the kids. When I get to the door, JC walks in. "Babe," he says. "I'm sorry." I turn and grab my phone. Hayes comes in, and I shut the blinds. "Listen. She's coming with us for tonight. She'll be back tomorrow." I walk out to the car, and Hayes walks after me. "Hayes. It's okay." I say. "He's never like this." I get in the car. Jackson and Sofia are asleep, so I don't say anything for the rest of the car ride.
