It had been a week since George talked to Prince Clayton for the last time.

Normally, he wouldn't even care. But after what had almost happened between them, he couldn't help feeling like he was being ignored.

George had tried to act normal around The Prince, but the dirty blond was treating him like the other servants.

And he hated it.

The attention Prince Clayton gave George those three days made his heart flutter. Not because he liked The Prince, but because George loved being the center of attention. People may say it was a little narcissistic, but it was the truth. George couldn't see himself falling for Prince Clayton, mainly because of his horrible personality. But he still enjoyed the tension that would build around them whenever they were in a room together.

That past week, Prince Clayton had been ordering other servants around to do stuff that George would normally do. His advisor friends knew it was a little weird that George wasn't being asked to do anything, but they didn't say a thing. George had spent planning the stupid ball in the solitude of his room.

If George was totally honest, he knew it was mostly his fault for running away from The Prince like he did, but he wasn't going to kiss someone he has basically hated his entire life. It was weird. Those few days he spent close to The Prince, George felt how this invisible energy united them. And he liked it.

But he also felt guilty.

It was like he was betraying someone — probably himself.

So that Wednesday morning he went and had breakfast with his guard friend, he decided that he would take a break from his job. It was not like he was being asked to do something anyways.

"I heard you and Alastair are going to Barnesimere." the brunette commented as they were walking through a corridor

"You heard correctly." Dave aswered nonchalantly.

"Do you think I could come with you guys?" he asked.

"You know the rules, George. We can only have one advisor out at a time."

"But you know I'm not doing anything!" George exclaimed. "I might as well go and help you guys."

"Look, there is Alastair." the pink-haired pointed at the advisor. "Just ask him if he could stay while you go." Dave suggested pointing to the advisor.

"Good idea, I'll be right back."

"I have to go get the horse ready, but I'll meet you in the carriage. You better at least come and say goodbye." his friend demanded.

"Yes, Sir." he replied, saluting. Dave rolled his eyes and left.

George walked to where Alastair was talking with Alyssa.

"And please bring some of that delicious bread they make there. Don't get me wrong, I love Alex's cooking, but that bread is just so delicious."

"I will Alyssa, don't worry." Alastair chuckled.

"Hey." George greeted them.

"Hey George! How are you doing?" Alyssa asked with a smile.

"I'm good, how about you guys?"

"Awful. I have to go to Barnesimere with Dave to bring some things Prince Clayton asked for." Alastair said annoyed.

"Oh. I can go, if you don't want to. I should be the one going anyway."

"Are you sure? Isn't The Prince going to be mad that you are not focusing on The Ball?"

"Alastair, I've been working non-stop on that stupid event this whole week. Besides, I don't want you to be in a mood for the rest of the day just because you had to go."
