Chapter 4:New Friends

{Third Person POV}

Zay walked out of his room, yawning and stretching his limbs. He then stares at Dr.Plague, who was still asleep. He then walked towards him before shouting in his face.

"WAKE THE FUCK UP BITCH!" Zay yelled in Dr.Plague's face, which startled him awake

"What the hell bro?" Dr.Plague said, still groggy and rubbing his eyes.

"Its frickn morning, wake up."

"Oh. You do know that I wake up at 1 P.M. , right?"

"What."

"Yes I do."

"...."

"Please don't-"

"W h a t." 

"Never mind, you did." Dr.Plague said, sighing and walking to change back into his clothing from yesterday. He still smells soup from it.

"This thing never wears off, does it?" Dr.Plague muttered while wearing it. They then headed out to find survivors.

"Why did we agree to this again"

"We need new people so we could escape together"

"Yeah right, Einstein."

"Why must you call me Einstein each time I say something that I know?"

"Because yes."

"You're so stupid at times, Zay." Dr.Plague groaned, looking back in front to see where he was walking. The two didn't know that from a high building, someone was looking at them, mostly focused on Zay. Another person was also spying on them, but they were stalking them quietly. The person did a sign at the person in the building to jump down and kill Zay. They then nodded and jumped, falling down towards Zay, their homemade katana ready to stab Zay in the head. Zay then felt a tingle from above his head and jumped back, for this person to land onto the ground, stabbing it.

"What the fu-" Zay said before the stranger pulled their katana from the ground and rushed towards Zay before getting stopped by Dr.Plague.

"STOP! He's friendly!" Dr.Plague said but the stranger wouldn't listen and kicked him back

"Listen kid, this shit's not your business. He needs to be killed quickly before he infects you."

"Sean, wait!" The other person said.

"What, Tinker?" Sean said, turning his head towards her.

"He's not lying."

"What do you mean by that?"

"If he were dangerous, he would have attacked that guy by now." Tinker said, pointing at Zay who is still trying to open his gatorade from yesterday. Sean than lowered his weapon, as Tinker took over

"I'm sorry bout my friend, Sean...anyways, my name's tinker, what's yours?"

"I'm Dr.Plague, and that over there is Zay"

"Cool, although I have a question"

"Hm?"

"Why do you keep a gootraxian as a pet?"

"What."

"why do you keep him as a pet?"

"He's not my pet, he's my friend that got transformed by a hat."

"Ah, makes sense." Tinker said, cheerfully

"By the way, wanna come over to our base?"

"Yeah sure!" Zay said, as Tinker then tapped Sean's shoulder and signaling him to go back to base with the two. He sighed before flicking his hand towards a direction and walking away.

"He says you two can come over!" Tinker said before just runs after Sean to keep up. Zay and Dr.Plague just stared at each other before they followed them.

A while later. . .

The group then reached a tall skyscraper

"That's your base?"

"Yup! It's pretty chilly inside though. But eh, it's normal." Tinker said before opening the glass doors and heading inside, Sean following behind. Zay and Dr.Plague hobbled behind, as they closed the crystal clear doors behind them. The inside was pretty neat, except for a few vines growing around the place.

"Wow it looks...kinda neat?" Zay commented.

"Thank you! I helped Sean clean the entire mess. Besides, we just got the elevator somehow working yesterday."

"H o w."

"I'm not sure, but its prolly the handiwork of yours truly, Sean!" Tinker said cheerfully.

"I told you to call me by Recon! Remember when we planned code names last week?!" Sean hollered across the room.

"Ah yeah, sorry Recon!"

"Its fine, Eagle." Sean muttered before walking into the elevator. Tinker entered followed by Dr.Plague and Zay. The doors closed and the elevator starts to elevate upwards. There was just silence except for slow breathing from Tinker. After a few minutes, the elevator stops and the doors open.

"This is where we sleep!"

"On the top floor?"

"Yup!"

"Why?"

"Sleeping near ground is a risk, so we pick the highest spot." Tinker replied.

"So you guys have separate rooms?"

"Yes."

"Ah cool. Any extra?"

"Yup!"

"Mind if we moved in?"

"I don't mind having another gootraxian here!"

"Wait, what."

"Yeah, we have one as a pet. But its sleeping right now soooo yeah....anyways, you can move your stuff from your old base to here." Tinker said.

"This is great. Welp, see ya later!" Zay said, before the elevator door closes.

"Sooo shall we move in now?"

"Yeah sure whatever." Dr.Plague said.
