" go for it," jennie whispered.

" do what you want, chaeyoung. take back what was yours in the first place. make them cry and weep. find your own happiness. i can't stand you regretting what you should've done today, for the rest of your life."

chaeyoung slowly looked up, face scrunching in surprise." eonni, youre not saying..."

jennie smiled and said, "go, chaeyoung, speak now."

that was all it took for chaeyoung to sprint out of her house and towards where the wedding bells rung for the umpteenth time.

~

chaeyoung stumbled her way towards the cathedral. her flushed cheeks turned even rosier. the cold winter air pricked her skin but she couldn't care less.

ignoring stares from passers-by, she brushed her long, blonde hair out of her face as she walked towards the church. hundreds of reporters chattered away at the entrance of the church, waiting for the wedding of the decade to happen.

using her ninja-level manoeuvres, she managed to sneak past the security and the public eye as she peaked into the backstage of the pedestal.

chaeyoung saw 'her' friends, and 'her' snotty little family all dressed in pastel.

'she' is yelling at her bridesmaids somewhere back inside her room, wearing a gown shaped like a pastry.

" UGH ALL OF YOU ARE SO USELESS! MY HAIR IS MESSED UP AND MY MASCARA RAN! THIS IS THE WORST DAY EVER!..." chaeyoung cringed at her loud and scratchy voice down the hallway.

" at least after today, jungkook oppa will be mine! nothing can stop me from being his wife... not even his little ex-girlfriend!..."

chaeyoung grabbed the hem of her dress and smirked, whispering, " not on my watch!"

she bolted towards the church hall when the security guards weren't watching. hundreds of people clad in gorgeous suits were seated in the pews as murmurs spread in the hall, waiting for the bride to arrive.

there, she saw the chous and the jeons seated on opposite ends of each other. clearly, this was a business marriage out of convenience.

the organs started to play a somewhat melancholic melody.

kinda sounds like a death march, anyways.

she swiftly camouflages herself with the heavy beige curtains.

just then, she saw the love of her life walking down the aisle. the entire church quietened down as they stared at the groom.

chaeyoung's eyes fixated on him as her heart stopped.

he had always been handsome, but he somehow grew even more masculine than what she remembered. his features were sharper and he eluded a cold aura. his body became leaner and his long black hair framed his perfectly-sculpted face.

his three-piece tuxedo crinkled as he slowly walked towards the chapel, wearing a blank expression, as if he suffered from facial paralysis.

chaeyoung watched as he settled right beside the priest and his best man holding a red silk cushion. two glittery rings sat on the cushion as it shone under the soft glow of the noon light.

just then, at that very moment, the large oak doors of the hall burst open, revealing the bride. everyone in the church hall stood up as they watched the bride float down the aisle like a pageant queen.
