Time

Narrator POV

When Reggie stormed into his office and demanded to speak to him, Archie had no clue about what it could be about but when he heard those words that came out of his mouth, Archie couldn't help but curve up his lips into a sarcastic smile and raised up both his brows as he looked at the man as if he was a joke.

"Betty? Cheating on me?" Archie asked quickly followed by a scoff and instantly rose up, sliding both hands down his face, trying his best to contain his anger and not letting it unleash on the man who was currently still sitting down. "How dare you come in here and accuse my WIFE of cheating?" Archie then asked, slowly turning back around to face Reggie who was also already standing up from the seat he had taken.

"Listen man, I know that you think that this is ridicu-" Reggie began but was instantly cut off by the angry red head.

Archie slammed his fist down onto the hard wood desk causing Reggie to flinch a little at the outburst but didn't continue his sentence since it looked like Archie was about to kill him with his bare hands. "Ridiculous? Of course I think this is ridiculous and I think you're crazy." Archie spat out, the vein on his neck popping out. " This is Betty we're talking about man, Betty would never do this to me and much less with someone like Jughead Jones."

Reggie scoffed and nodded his head in disbelief, thinking back to what he saw earlier that day and he knows for a fact that he isn't crazy and that Betty was capable of this only thing is that now Reggie is wondering just how long this affair had been going on for and he intends to find out and prove it. "Alright man ,don't believe me but I know what I saw and I'm going to prove it to you." Reggie simply states before taking a few steps backwards then turned around completely and walked out of Archie's office, slamming the door behind him leaving the red head completely alone in his rage. Archie gazed over at the closed door and nodded his head and scoffed in disbelief before pushing the rolling chair backwards a bit with his foot and took a seat in it, grabbing his phone and once again calling the woman of his affections, the accusation that Reggie made against his wife pushed back to the back of his head since he found it ridiculous.

And while the Red Paladin was continuing his quest to regain his enchantress, Betty Cooper Andrews was currently sitting across that said woman, laughing and engaging in conversation with her.

"How haven't we spoken before?" The blonde asks as she rubs her belly up and down.

Veronica looks down at her actions and gives a small smile feeling a pang of remorse for doing what she's doing but then again, she knows exactly the type of person Betty is and what she was planning on doing, so Veronica pushed the guilt and the remorse out of her mind as best as she could and answered Betty's question the best way she could.

"Well every time there's a town event you're always with your husband and you never leave his side." she simply states, shrugging her shoulders as if it was no big deal but as soon as those words left her mouth, Veronica noticed how Betty's smile faltered a little and heard her let out a small muffled sigh but loud enough for her to hear.

"Yeah," Betty sighs, pausing for a moment as she looks outside Pop's window then returning her attention to the raven haired woman "I'm sorry about that. I really don't know why I'm like that. I guess you can say that I spent my whole life trying to be perfect for my mother that somehow, someway I ended up being just like her." Betty says, the sadness clearly heard in her voice which causes the guilt to come back into Veronica's chest as she looks at the woman whom she thought she knew about when clearly she didn't, Betty had her demons just like the rest of us but then again no one was forcing her to do what she was doing.

After a few moments, Veronica's phone pinged once again causing her to roll her eyes thinking that it was Archie Andrews but when she looked down at her phone she realized that it was Sweet Pea.

"Betty, I know this is sudden and all but do you mind coming with me?" Veronica asks, placing her phone into her purse.

Betty chewed on her lip for a moment before answering Veronica's question.

"I know this is our first conversation but there's this beautiful baby boutique just a little outside of Riverdale and I would like to take you as a......peace offering?"

"Peace offering?" Betty asks with curiosity "But isn't that intended for those who did something to someone and are trying to make amends?" she laughs out. Veronica smirks at Betty's question.

"That's right but I feel like I misjudged you and I would like to make up for it'' Veronica then says. Surprising herself at how good she was doing right now but as soon as Betty agreed, Veronica's smile grew even wider and gestured for Betty to get out of the booth and as soon as they were walking out the diner, Veronica pulled out her phone and texted Sweet pea letting him know that everything was going according to plan and then wrapped her arm around Bettys, walking together towards their cars with smiles on their faces.

"Veronica said they'll be here within half an hour" Sweet pea states as he puts his phone into the pocket of his leather jacket, looking over at Jughead who was currently lighting up a cigarette.

"Good." He simply states after puffing out smoke. "The time has finally come"

A/N: So I know this is short but I felt like this was the perfect way to end this chapter but be ready and be prepared because this story is about to get intense.
