Narrator POV:

The morning sun beamed right through the curtains and straight into the room but Betty was already awake, wide awake. Her mind was filled with nothing but thoughts that surrounded around the Serpent king, he wanted her and their son by his side and though she knew she shouldn't be flattered, she can't help but to be flattered. She feels her cheeks begin to flush at the thought of him wanting her but as soon as she felt Archie squirming around and beginning to wake up, those thoughts were shaken away from her mind and tried to get her mind back in the game and remember why she did what she did and that was for Archie but one thing that she could no longer deny is that she was attracted to the real father of her baby.

"Hey" She heard Archie say to her in a groggy voice, obviously from the fact that he'd just waken up not too long ago. Betty looked down at him since she was sitting up against the headboard and smiled at him with her fake sweet smile that she always plasters on for him every morning "Hey handsome, you sleep okay?" She asks him and he sighs but nods his head side to side making her raise an eyebrow and her heart beat faster knowing that he was going to bring up the stunt she did a few hours ago. He looked back up at her again and this time his expression is a bit confused but at the same time he's looking at her as if he were studying her and that made her uneasy "Why were you outside Betty? And with your phone?" He asks arching up an eyebrow as he keeps his gaze on her but thankfully in that moment his phone rings. She holds in a breath but as soon as he turns to grab his phone off the nightstand she releases it and tries to think of an answer or at least some sort of excuse to leave but she can't come up with anything.

"Yeah, tell him not to worry. I'm on my way" She hears him say, Betty instantly feels relaxed and lets out a shaky breath feeling relieved at the fact that he had to leave and wouldn't stick around to continue the conversation, giving her a few hours to think of something, anything.

Archie hangs up and sighs and throws his phone onto the bed as he stands up from the bed but quickly turns to look at her again "We'll talk about this when I get home but please Betty, if you need anything don't hesitate to call me." He says to her and with that he left and walked into the bathroom, assuming he was going to take a shower and in that moment she hears her phone ping. She sucks in a breath and without a second thought she grabs her phone and see's that she's received a message and instantly went to open it, hoping that it was one from him but when she seen that the message wasn't sent from him, instead it was Chuck, she hated how disappointed she was feeling at the little fact that he wasn't the one who was texting her.

She sighed and once again tried her best to fight away those stupid thoughts that she's been having since before she saw him. She replies to Chuck, agreeing to meet up with him at Pops since she knew deep inside her that Jughead wasn't going to come at the time she asked him too. Once she sent the text to Chuck, she instantly got up and began looking through her closet to see what she was going to wear but couldn't find anything, she went to look out the window and seen that the sun was no longer shining and instead it was being hidden behind the gray clouds that were beginning to paint around the sky, she sighed heavily and in that moment she heard the bathroom door open and seen Archie walking out with his hair damp and with this work clothes on already. "Sorry, I didn't get the chance to make you lunch" Betty tells him making him look up at her, he smiles softly at her and walks towards her and as soon as he's close enough to her body, he pulls her in by the waist and gives her a small kiss on the lips, a kiss that makes her smile but not widely "It's okay love, no need to worry about that. Are you feeling okay though?" He asks her with a worried expression on his face making her heartache at how guilty she is feeling for doing this but she can't bring herself to tell him the truth because she knew if she did, she'd lose him and despite her want and need for Jughead, he wasn't the one she wanted to spend her life with that man was currently standing in front of her and she'd be damned if anything made him pull away from her forever.
