Narrator POV:

Jughead watched as Sweet Pea rode off, the beginning of his plan was about to unfold and he knew that there was no going back, not like he wanted to anyway. As the roar of his friends motorcycle disappeared, Jughwad threw the cigarette bud onto the ground then quickly turning to walk into his former childhood home and sat on the old dusty couch that was left there  when he moved. He sat there in silence but the silence soon ended when the rain began to fall rather quickly. He knew that going through with his plan was risky especially since there was a Northside woman involved but he also knew that this was the only way he'd be able to be around his kid and make her pay for trying to make Archie believe that the baby was his.

While Jughead was going over his plan one last time, Betty was still at the same party where she continued to keep up her facade. Making every single Northsider believe that she was in fact happy when in reality that was further from the truth. Betty had talked her way out of the party and made her way upstairs to her bedroom which she no longer shares with her beloved husband. She closed the door behind her and slid down the door and broke down instantly, feeling her heart crumble and began wondering where her life began to go wrong. Tonight was suppose to go differently, in fact the past few months were but nothing that she thought was going to happen, happened. Betty continued to break down when she heard a knock on the door, and she instantly wiped her tears off her face and got up from the ground and went to open the door but nothing before she checked herself out in the mirror and making sure she looked presentable for whoever was standing on the other side of her bedroom door.

Betty let out a shaky breath and opened the door before she second guessed herself and there stood one of her best friends Chuck Clayton, a friend who knows all of her sins and who also knows the hell that she's been living internally. With Chuck, Betty didn't have to hide or be ashamed and that was refreshing to know that not everybody on the Northside expected her to be perfect which is why Chuck is her best friend well more like her brother.

"Hey, you good?" He asks as he walks into her bedroom ,following her inside and closing the door behind him so that no one can see them talking.

Betty began to cry once again and he quickly brought her in for a hug "No, no I'm not! I can't keep up with this lie Chuck!" Betty blurts out to her friend and pulling away from his grasp, running her hands through her hair not caring to mess up her curls since she wasn't planning on going back downstairs to resume her role as the happy wife when she wasn't, Chuck sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose as Betty vented out her problems to him.

"B, I already told you what to do but you don't want to listen. How many times haven't I told you to just divorce that asshole and redo your life? No one is worth all this pain and suffering yet you continue to put yourself through it as well as this baby that you're carrying. This isn't you and sooner rather than later this facade that your putting up will fall" Chuck tells her, trying his best to reason with her but trying to reason with Betty Cooper was pointless especially when it came to her marriage with Archie Andrews. "You know that leaving him isn't an option" Betty replies, tears continuing to run down her cheeks rather quickly.

Chuck nods his head in disbelief, placing his hands into his pockets as he looks over at his friend "Betty, do you know how close you were to get caught tonight? The serpent you slept with who might I add is the real father of that baby you're carrying was here tonight. Thankfully he didn't say a word but what's to say he will continue to harbor your secret huh? Tell me!?" Chuck snaps at her, causing her to flinch and when she does it causes him to soften his expression and tone it down a notch but he also knew that this was the only way he could get through to her.

"I know Chuck, I know but I can't go back now. this baby is due in three months and Archie will continue to believe that this baby is his. I will go looking for Jughead tomorrow and try to keep him quiet" Betty answers his question and once again Chuck nods at her plan "You can't be serious Betty. What you're doing is wrong and-" Chuck begins but before he could finish, Archie walks into the bedroom with a worried look on his face. "Hey, How are you feeling? Any better?" Archie asks Betty as he gets closer to her, worry clearly seen in his expression as he puts one hand around her waist and the other on top of her belly.

She simply swallowed the lump in her throat and looked over at Chuck then over at Archie, feeling shaken up with everything that has happened tonight "Yeah, I'm just a little bit tired and I think I need to lay down for the rest of the night" Betty replies giving him a small smile that makes Chuck nod his head in pure disbelief once again at just how far Betty has taken this.

"Yeah go ahead and lay down and I'll be back up soon." Archie then says to her as he guides her over to the bed, crouching down then turns his head towards Chuck "Hey, do you think you can leave us alone for a minute I need to speak to Betty" Archie tells the man who knows all of the sinister sins that his wife has done. "Yeah man, no worries I was just telling Betty that I was taking off" Chuck replies and before Betty or Archie could say anything, Chuck walks out of the bedroom. Betty continued to look towards the door and closes her eyes, realzing that she had disappointed her childhood best friend but she also knew that she couldn't come clean with the truth.

"You wanted to talk to me?" Betty asks Archie out of the blew.

"Yeah listen I know we haven't had a good relationship lately but I think its time we go to marriage counseling to see what we can do to fix that, I mean we are having a babby Betty and I want nothing else than to be a happy family, so what do you say?" Archie asks her making Betty smile wide and making her heart flutter in pure happiness, she quickly wraps her arms around his neck and pulls him in for a kiss. She thinks that things are working out but little did she know the devil she had awoken in Jughead Jones.
