A Gate of Hope

"I'm sorry Reiner. You're not supposed to be a chosen warrior. I just wanted to protect my brother. I'm so sorry..." Our eyes widened when Marcel said that. Reiner completely zoomed out, when suddenly a titan came out of nowhere.
The last thing I saw was Marcel, saving Reiner. With that, Reiner ran away, leaving us behind. The titan also left. Annie and Bertholdt got scared too so they follow Reiner. I stayed there, tearing up a bit. It was so fast, I couldn't even process what has happened. Soon, I followed them because I didn't want to die either.

"Guys!" I called them.

"Y/N? Where were you?! We thought it has eaten you too!" Bertholdt cried out.

"I just...couldn't work up what happened earlier... Sorry."

"Alright, there's no use. The plan failed and that titan who ate Marcel has probably returned into a human somewhere. We'll get the Jaw Titan back and go home." Annie said as she turned round. The three of us started to walk away, waiting for Reiner to follow us.

"Wait!" We stopped and looked at him. "We can't go back! Let's stick to the plan."

"Obviously, you can't go back like this. If you go back they'll took your Armored Titan and give it to the next warrior-" Annie got interrupted by Reiner

"They will do the same to you! You guys ran away too!"

"He has a point." I said quietly.

"We can't go back home empty handed. We need to get the original titan. We can't go back...not anymore. If-" Annie kicked Reiner in the face.

"Own up what you did to the Jaw Titan!"

"Annie!"

"Apologize! Say that it's your fault!! I wanna go home! Marley, Eldia, fuck them! It's a whole joke!" Annie finished with kicking Reiner. As she turned around, he attacked her from behind.

"Guys, stop!" I yelled at them with no success.

"Let's go back...together."

We were travelling on Annie's titan, she was gathering a whole titan gang.

"Annie is already at her limit..." I informed the two boys.

"It's the wall!" Reiner pointed at the large wall in front of us. "Annie, let's switch!!"

As we reached the wall. Reiner put us down.

"We're counting on you, Bertholdt!" I shouted at him, smiling to give him confidence.

After Bertholdt transformed, he easily made a hole in the wall. Reiner immediately ran after  him, picking him up and climbed on the top of the wall. He put us down and he went to make another hole.

"C'mon Reiner..." I prayed. Luckily, he successed.

Years came after we broke the wall and we started to work at a farm. We've met a man who's village got destroyed by titans, then he offered that he can find us job. We've been working on the fields when we heard about that Training Camp, we decided to volunteer.

"What's your name?!!"

"Y/N L/N!"

"And why are you here?!"

"I'm here to make people proud!!!"
