Alder'Paw silently followed after Ash'Flight, they were heading towards a gathering. His first gathering. He was not sure why his father didn't let him go for the other times there was a gathering, he shuddered. Thistle'Star had not spoken to him since he had told him that he was training to be a medicine cat. Alder'Paw felt certain that his father was mad at him. He perked his ears as he heard voices growing louder, it signaled him that he and his clan were getting closer. "Ah, look who decided to show up!" A Wind'Clan cat hissed furiously, But Thistle'Star ignored the cat and made his way to the great tree. "Alder'Paw! Over here!" Alder'Paw heard the familiar sweet voice of Thrush'Paw, he turned his head to see the other tom sitting with the other medicine cats.

He smiled and made his way over, "Hello Thrush'Paw." He nodded in greetings, though he looked overwhelmed and nervous. "Are you okay?" Thrush'Paw asked gently, Alder'Paw swallowed a bit. "I never been to a gathering, that's all." He admitted, turning his gaze towards the other clans. "Who's that?" He asked, seeing a broad silver tabby cat with green eyes. "Oh her? That's Silver'Wing." Black'Heart Replied, "She's from Shadow'Clan, which is my clan." They added, Alder'Paw flicked his ears. Listening carefully. "And that's Silver'Wing's brother, Wasp'Claw." Cloud'Feather mewed, staring at another silver tabby cat but he had amber eyes. "Where's Hawk'Tail?" Ash'Flight asked, looking at Flint'Shade who nodded in agreement. Oak'Rain's face darkened but didn't respond.

"Oh! And that's Gorse'Spots!" Thrush'Paw smiled as he pointed towards a lean ginger tabby Tom with bright yellow eyes, who was crouching next to a lanky black tabby she-cat with brown eyes. "And looks like he's with his mate, Dark'Whisker!" Thrush'Paw purred, Alder'Paw stared at the two before looking at Thrush'Paw. 'Mate Huh. . .' He smiled softly, before looking away, observing the cats again. "Wait, who's that apprentice?" He asked, gesturing towards a light gray mottled apprentice with icy blue eyes. "Oh, him? His name is Storm'Speckle." Flint'Shade answered, "He's small, born as runt." He added,

Alder'Paw nodded slowly, Storm'Speckle was chatting with Bark'Paw. "What about those two Shadow'Clan elders?" He asked, staring at a brown tabby tom with green eyes and a pure white she-cat with missing tufts of fur, she also had red eyes. "Oh them?" Black'Heart chuckled lightly, "The brown tabby tom is Bramble'Strike and the white she-cat is Snow'Sky." He smiled a bit, his eyes clouded with sorrow.

"And those two she-cats?" Alder'Paw questioned, looking towards a skinny tall pale brown tabby she-cat apprentice and a smaller chubby white-and-black apprentice. "Oh those two?" Flint'Shade chuckled, "The small one is my sister, Patch'Paw." He Replied, "Why is she still a apprentice?" Alder'Paw Asked, "Because her warrior ceremony was delayed because of how much trouble she gets herself into." Flint'Shade explained,

Alder'Paw blinked, "And the taller once is her crush, Bird'Paw." The Wind'Clan medicine cat added, Alder'Paw blinked slowly before smiling. "Bird'Paw and Patch'Paw both get into trouble, if you ask me, they'd be a good power couple." Black'Heart commented, as he wrinkled his nose.

Flint'Shade gave the black tabby a rough yet playful nudge on the shoulder, "Shut up you furball." He purred, Alder'Paw frowned as he noticed a large cat that had the fur that looked like a fox. His pelt fluffed out, "That's a Fox!" He gasped, "Oh, you mean Fox'Pelt? Yeah, he looks like a fox. He gets that a lot." A black-and-pale yellow apprentice answered, she was skinny and smelled like Wind'Clan. "Oh hey Bee'Paw." Flint'Shade greeted,

Alder'Paw relaxed a bit, "Are there more cats that I don't know?" He questioned, "Yeah, you see that ginger cat with white splotches?" Black'Heart answered, gesturing towards a ginger she-cat with white splotches, she also had bright blue eyes. Her ears were torn as well. "She's Cedar'Cloud. The most annoying cat within Shadow'Clan!" Black'Heart let out a mrrow, Alder'Paw noticed that Cedar'Cloud and Splash'Paw were chatting. "Splash'Paw misses you guys." He mewed quietly, looking at Black'Heart, he actually looked surprised as well.
