"When it comes to you and Kõtarõ, you two deserve each other."-Kunoichi.
Hana Maeda is the eldest child of Toshiie and Matsu Maeda. Brave and cheerful, Hana looks up to her father in many ways but his clumsiness sometimes embarrasses her. She is also Oichi's best friend due to the two girls being the same age. Hana was saddened when Oichi was married to NagamasaAzai due to not being able to see her as much as she wanted to but Oichi gave Hana a homemade hair bow as a promise that they will be friends forever. Years after the Oda's downfall, Hana was sent to the Hõjõ for safety where she struck up a deep friendship with Lady Hayakawa due to her similarities to Oichi and a tumultuous but sexual relationship with KotaròFüma which changed her personality traits to a much more reckless one. Hana is symbolized by the kanji alacrity and impulse.
