The illegitimate child of Fa Zheng and Yu Xianghua through an illicit but passionate affair also making her the younger sister of Zhao Xinyu, sister-in-law of Ling Tong and stepdaughter to Zhao Yun. Just as cunning and ruthless as her father in the battlefield, Fa Li also shares her father's amazing strategist skills. She cares little for her foes lives and berates them. However, she shows a softer side only to her family and her allies in her home of Shu as she is a decorated officer and takes her duties seriously. Her father Fa Zheng dotes on her so much that her spoiled trait caught on when she got older. He affectionately calls her "my little villainess." due to him referring himself as a villain and Fa Li showing the same amount of ruthlessness and cunning smarts on the battlefield. She is also very genuine about how she feels towards someone she cares about for example she fell in love with Gan Ning but was conflicted by her love for her sister Xinyu. During the Wu/Shu alliance where she and her sister sided with Wu for a few years, she had some sort of relationship with Gan Ning which resulted in both of them having deep feelings for each other. Also resulting in Fa Li becoming pregnant with his child. She would birth a daughter two years after Xinyu would birth her own daughter from Ling Tong, naming her Gan Zhi. After Wu's betrayal of Shu, Fa Li was torn between staying in Wu and continue her blossoming relationship with Gan Ning or return to her home in Shu with her sister. She made the decision to stay in Wu, therefore defecting. Xinyu would later join her for the same separate reason. She is also the aunt of Ling Tong and Zhao Xinyu's daughter, Ling Zhen.
