Chapter 4: Like it or not you've got magic

Carly's Point of View: :

Amethyst fell onto the ground in front of me. I could've handled this but no, such a stubborn girl, and what the heck type of magic does she have? Not to mention that outburst was stronger than any low or middle-rank class. Whilst I was lost in my thoughts, Rain walked up to me and tapped my shoulder.

"Hey, Carly, I've got a question for you. What the hell was that and what happened to Lizzy?" He stares at both of them as the nurse moves them to the medical area.

"I don't know. I don't think I even know what she is. If you're so curious, ask her yourself. Why do you even care about Am?" I glare up at him. He's never cared for anyone else here so why ask? Whatever he's got planned, I'm not letting him use Amethyst she's already confused enough as is. if she does follow her mother's steps she will be the most feared villain in the entire universe. 

"Whatever. Later, CarCar." Rain crows mockingly as he leaves the area and disappears. Probably off to cause more trouble again. But he didn't answer my question which leaves me wondering what he is going to do. I narrow my eyes in suspicion.

A few days later, Amethyst is in a coma they think is due to her outbursts. I spent most of that time in the library trying to figure out what she could have as her magic. I also realize that if she's my dorm mate then she's in the same ranking which means she's either a low GD or a high GD, however, that still didn't answer why Rain was curious enough to ask me.

Ophelia and Emma walk into the library, past 6 bookshelves on the first floor, and then up a set of stairs to get to me.

"Hey, Car? Have you heard about what Lizzy has done?" Ophelia asks me, sitting down with Emma who begins sifting through the books on the table I had finished reading

"No, I've been in here, Not paying attention to some brat." I flip the pages of my current book, passing the Persephone and Artemis page in the goddesses.
"Wait, I have a question: did Persephone and Artemis ever get their daughter back? After the war?" Emma asks.

"I'm not sure. Anyways, what did Lizzy do?" I put the bookmark in the book and closed it before putting it in my bag.

"She ransacked your dorm. She was looking for something but wouldn't tell the headmaster what she was looking for." Emma adds.

"I don't think she knew what she was looking for but I have a general idea of who asked her to." I get up and leave with Emma and Ophelia trailing behind me as I walk down the stairs, explaining to them that I believe Rain was behind the ransacking.
We finally reach his dorm room, some 6 doors down from mine, and use an unlocking spell on the door.
"Mal'Via Anshu," I say as swiftly and as quietly as I can be. I open the door and I see Rain with Amethyst's purple necklace with diamonds around the moon dangling from it. I didn't see it before, however, I knew it was hers. She told me about it in the dorm on her first day. Ophelia and Emma blocked his exit so he couldn't run out without a fight.

"Why do you have that, it's not yours." I look around to see galaxy bedding and gaming posters on his wall. He was definitely curious about the Earth realm.

"You don't know it's not mine. I like the color purple and it's growing on me." Rain explains while putting it in his left pocket and gesturing for us to leave.

"You just gave away that even you know it isn't yours, and once she finds out you stole it, you're dead."

"And what is a little earthling going to do to a GDC?"

"I guess you'll never find out." I snatch it out of his pocket swiftly before he has time to react and put my hands up to push ice spikes by Rain, leaving him pinned against the wall. As we left the room, Rain called out to me. I

"You can't say anything to Amethyst. You know and I know you know. I don't want to deal with her parents." Rain smirks despite remaining stuck even while tugging his hardest at the ice.

 
"And why would I not tell her parents? They both deserve to know." I told him.

"The war was because of her, it would be better for all of them, for us to keep it a secret. Understand?" He impresses, looking at me with the gravest face I had ever seen. I let my ice meltdown.

     "Fine, this won't get to Am, but we will talk more about this. And she keeps her necklace." I hear a quiet, "Good." With that, I shut the door.

Later that day 5 pm Amethyst's & Carly's Dormitory

I hear knocking on my door and Emma walks in, "Hey, Carly. Amethyst is awake."  

I didn't know how to react it was her what 3rd outburst of magic she really was living up to her mother's name. 

"I'm Emma, let me get my shoes and coat on, and ill walk down with you," I say rushing my shoes and coat on bursting out of the door as we walk Emma sparks up a conversation with me. 

"Hey er- Carly, Can I tell you something? " She says sad-ish

"Yeah, I'm always all ears Emma best friends since 2nd-grade sis," I say bumping her hip to cheer her up. She's never like this, she is always a fluffy ball of fuck you and energy. 

"Yeah I know, however, I fear this is a more pressing matter than besties since dippers, sis. Okay so a bunch of us students were curious about what Amethyst meant by her not having magic, so we tested her blood results and she's right! She doesn't have magic blood. Yet she can use magic. No one has ever seen something like this and so I wanna know where she's from so I can go there and see her living environment, It might take a couple of weeks but I can find out more about her and I think it would help what do you think?" She says.
