Felix looked at Chan with a deep blush settled onto his cheeks. His whole body felt like it was on fire. His heart was racing and he was nervous, a feeling he never really felt before. Chan looked at his brother with expectant eyes. Felix gulped and softly smiled before responding to the older male, "Give me time?" Felix softly spoke. Chan nodded and hugged his brother into a tight hold.
Felix felt overwhelmed by all the emotions he was currently feeling, but the embrace Chan was giving him made him feel a little bit better. Felix felt safe in Chan's hold. Felix pulled away before taking in a deep breath to recollect his bearings.
"Let's go inside, yea?" Chan suggested. Felix just nodded and followed closely behind his older brother. The boys both walked into the house and were greeted by their mother. "Where did you guys run off to?" She questioned. Chan began to feel nervous, remembering the intimate moment him and his brother shared not too long ago. "W-well we, ummm-" Chan nervously said, desperately trying to think of an excuse.
Felix quickly responded in order to prevent Chan from saying something stupid. "Oh, I lost my charger in his car and asked him to help me find it." Felix said calmly, completely unbothered. Their mother cocked a brow before nodding and walking away. Felix lightly hit Chan once their mom was out of hearing distance. "You dumb shit! Can you make things any more obvious. If anybody is gonna be at fault for us ever getting caught here, it's you! Stop acting so damn obvious." Felix scolded.
Chan looked at his brother and was about to fire back before stopping himself. For some reason he didn't want to fire back at his little brother. He just smiled and nodded. "You're right. Maybe you can teach me how to be more like you?" Felix looked at his brother in disgust. "Are you okay?" Felix said before walking upstairs with Chan following him closely. "Yes, Lix. I am okay. I would just rather not fight with you anymore is all."
Felix ignored him and continued to walk to his room. Chan was following him like a lost puppy. "I need time alone, swine. Don't think that all because we had a gay moment a few minutes ago, you can follow me around now. I'll come and bother you in an hour or two." Chan just smiled, causing Felix to smile back. Felix felt a blush creep onto his face once more. "D-don't look at me like that!" Felix whisper shouted before slamming the door in Chan's face.
He sighed before plopping down onto the bed. He was trying to piece together all that had happened within the last day. He lost his boyfriend/best friend, and his step brother confessed his love to him. Felix wasn't sure how to feel about the situation, but for some reason he was happy. He was happy that Chan was his. Though they never really confirmed it, he could only assume that.
Felix had felt a whole new plethora of emotions that he never really felt before up until now. There had been moments and occasions with Chan where he felt those emotions, but he always ignored them. He always turned his romantic feelings for Chan into sexual ones. Facing these emotions now, without sex involved was much scarier to Felix for some reason. Felix wanted to start acting right. The whole situation with Changbin kinda knocked him back to reality. He wanted to be better for himself, his friends, and Chan.
Felix needed to make things right with Changbin before he did anything else. The first step in doing so, is apologizing. Felix pulled out his phone and dialed his ex boyfriend's phone number. After a few rings, he heard Changbin's sweet voice on the other line. "What do you want?" The smaller boy said in an irritated tone. Felix sat there for a moment before responding. "Can we meet in person to talk things out?" Felix said, nervously biting his lip. Changbin agreed and they set up a time and place to meet within the next hour.
After getting off the phone with Changbin, Felix started getting ready to see him. He brushed out his hair and changed his clothes into something that wasn't covered in snot and tears. He went to the bathroom and brushed his teeth, smiling at his reflection once he looked presentable. He ran downstairs to see that Chan was the only one in the living room. "Where are mom and dad?" Felix asked his older brother.
"They're in their room. Where are you going?" Chan asked.
"No where important. I need to take care of something. I'll be back in an hour." Felix said, keeping Changbin completely out of the equation. Chan gave Felix a look of distaste. Chan's first instinct was to assume that Felix was going to go fuck some random dude or try to get back with Changbin. Before he could ask his brother, Felix was already out of the door, making his way to the nearby park by his house.
He sat on one of the benches and waited for Changbin to arrive. He played with his phone while he waited and nervously tapped his foot. Deep down he did feel bad. Though Felix gave off the impression that he was heartless and selfish, that was quiet the opposite. Felix often put himself first as a way of preventing himself from getting hurt, but he knew deep down that it wasn't a good thing to do.
Felix cared deeply for Changbin and wanted to make things right, so that was what he was going to do. He swallowed a lump once he laid eyes on the small raven haired boy that was approaching him. Changbin didn't look the best. He had bags under his eyes and was wearing a black oversized hoodie to hide his features.
Felix sighed and mentally prepared himself for the conversation that could go very wrong or very good. He didn't expect Changbin to forgive him. Changbin deserved nothing but the truth and Felix was ready to give it to him.
