Five month later - Third person POV:
It was the final race in the season. Ruby Smith was leading the Championship 5 points in front of her team mate George Russell and 15 points in front of Max Verstappen. After her accident she lost her memory for some time but it got back slowly. During this time she split up with Daniel Ricciardo and Poppy stayed with Daniel, because Ruby couldn't cope with a child at this time. Daniel tried a few time to go back with Ruby but she refused. She wanted to stay alone. She had Poppy over some times and the two of them did co-parenting. During race weekends they changed who had her. But most of the time Daniel ended up with their child. He didn't say a word but she knew they had to talk.
Ruby stayed at her apartment in London and when she needed to be in the factory she could stay at Georges'. She needed her time, she went out partying a lot and she also began to model more. She had nearly a day off - she kept herself busy. When there was time, her mind didn't shut up. She knew, she needed a therapist, but she didn't want to go there. So she was busy instead. Ruby also lost some Kilos, which everyone thought was because of the training, but she started smoking and drinking and refused to eat most of the time she was alone. You could tell she's ill but no one talked about it. There were rumors in the paddock but the Mercedes PR people shut them immediately.

Ruby POV: It's the last race of the season. I will start on Pole. George is 5 points behind me and Max 15 points. So everything could happen today. I was happy Poppy was with Daniel. I can't cope with any distraction today. I turned around in my bed again. When I wanted to get up I heard a knock on the door. "Whoever is there, leave me alone!" I pulled up my blanket again. Then there was another knock. "Daniel for freaking sake, when there is something with Poppy deal with it on your own!" and I wanted to know what's up but I didn't wanna get up. Then there was another knock. I slowly went up and opened the door. "Finally! Bitch you need to calm down. I just wanna help" Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton where in front of my door. Nico spoke up and Lewis just entered my room. "Yeah, come in and make yourself a home." I snapped at them. "What do you want?" I asked them. "We wanna help you win the championship. We know what to do in such situations!" Nico told me. I offered them the couch as I sat down on my bed. "You mind if I get changed?" I asked them and they nodded.
