Yashiro arrived earlier than usual. She opened their classroom's door and she was surprised that someone was already there but the person wasn't aware of her presence. The person was too engrossed in their phone

"Good morning, Yamabuki-kun!" She greeted cheerily. He flinched from the sudden voice and looked up from his phone

"Good morning, Yashiro-san" he greeted back while flashing his signature smile

"You're here early" he put his phone away and focused his attention on her

"I woke up before my alarm went off" she smiled shyly

"Shall we hang out at our usual place?" He asked and she nodded. They both went to the rooftop and sat down

"Yambuki-kun"

"Hm?" he hummed as he fixated his gaze on her

"I noticed that whenever you talk to me, you put your phone away but when others talk to you, your attention is focused on your phone- I'm just curious and I find it funny" she laughed as she hugged her knees and stared back at him.

"You noticed? Have you been looking at me whenever I'm busy at my phone?" he smirked and leaned towards her

"T-that's not-" her cheeks flushed rosy red and he laughed at her

"Just kidding. I just love talking to you to the point I can ignore my phone just for you" he smiled charmingly and it made Yashiro's heart throb in happiness

"M-me too. I love talking to you" she smiled back

"By the way Yamabuki-kun, there was a new hotwings doujin published yesterday! Have you read it?!" she leaned towards him in excitement. This action made Yamabuki flustered and leaned back to create some space

"U-uh yeah. I read it last night" he replied

"Me too! The way the author focused on the details were amazing. Their art was mesmerizing-"

"You're mesmerizing" he said and it made her stopped talking

"Eh?"

"I m-mean... Well, you are mesmerizing honestly" he confessed as he averted his gaze with cheeks flushed. Later on, he heard her laughing

"W-what's so funny?" he stuttered n embarrassment

"N-nothing" she continued laughing and he joined later on. They both went silent afterwards and stared at the sky with fluffy clouds racing against each other

"You know Yashiro-san"

"Hm?"

"I want to be the only one to witness the real you"

"Huh?"

"I want you to be comfortable with me when your reading bl mangas or doujin, when you're watching anime or even talk about them"

"...."

"I want to be the only one to witness the you that you've been hiding from your friends" he smiled as he patted her head

"Me too. I don't know how my friends would react except for Aoi-chan when they find out that I'm into anime and bl. They might view me as a weird otaku" she giggled

"I'm glad that incident happen... because it made us closer"

"Yeah... I'm really glad" she stood up and dragged him up and went back inside

"Where were you, Yashiro?" Amane asked as he eyed Yamabuki who gave him a smirk

"With Yamabuki" She replied

"Senpai, what were two doing?" Kou nervously asked

"We just hang out at our usual place" she replied and eyed the two confusedly. She went to her seat and talked with Aoi

"Their usual place?" Amane repeated

"I wonder where... Anyway, he always gets Senpai first before us. Life's so unfair" Kou groaned as he covered his face with his hands

"I don't want him to have Yashiro all on his own. We better act fast" Amane stated

Flashback (The Incident)

"I better get home fast. The last episode of Banana fish is airing today. I already know that in the manga Ash died but I seriously hope that in the anime they would change the ending!" She ran hurriedly in panic while clutching her books on her chest

She continued running and was about to make a sharp turn when someone collided with her

"Ekk!" She shrieked when she fell on her bum while her belongings were scattered on the floor

"I'm so sorry. I was busy staring at my phone. I'm really sorry. Are you okay?" He asked as he extended his hand for her to take. She took his hand and gazed at him. She recognized his face and it was her classmate

"I'm fine. I'm sorry as well, Yamabuki-kun. I shouldn't have run in the hallway" she bowed and apologized as well. She crouched down and collected her scattered belongings

"Let me help you" he said and she muttered a 'thank you' to him. While Yashiro was busy collecting her other books, she didn't notice Yamabuki's shocked face

"Yashiro-san" he called her attention

"Hm?" she stood up and looked at him. She was confused at his reaction. She eyed the book that he was clutching and finally realized that it was her Tododeku doujin that he was holding. She immediately snatched it from his grasp.

"Uh.. This is... You know- Yamabuki-kun" she began stuttering prayed to the Gods that he won't expose her to their classmates

"You read Tododeku doujins as well? Amazing! I never thought you'd be interested in yaoi/bl, Yashiro-san" he smiled excitedly

"You read stuff like bl as well?!" he nodded and she beamed happily

"Do you also watch anime? How about reading mangas?" She asked eagerly

"Both. I watch anime and read mangas" he replied

"Sweet! We have so much in common, Yamabuki-kun" she said overjoyed

"Ah! Today's the last episode Banana fish!"

"Today's the last episode Banana fish!" they yelled in unison and ran out of the school

"Let's talk tomorrow, Yamabuki-kun. Bye!" she yelled from afar

"Bye!" he yelled back

"I should have expected that Ash would also die in the anime" she sadly said as she eyed the other

"I cried a river last night" he admitted

"Same" they both laughed

"So, uh... There's Comiket tomorrow. Wanna go together?" he shyly asked

"Of course! I've been dyin' to go there with someone. Aoi-chan knows that I'm interested in anime but she isn't. So, I always go there alone" she smiled

"Great! Let's have fun tomorrow, Yashiro-san!"

After that incident, they would secretly meet each other at the rooftop to talk about anime related stuff, mangas and doujin. They update each other daily about anime merch, event etc. They've gotten closer because of that incident.

(Ash or Ash Lynx is from Banana Fish. I wouldn't recommend it to ya'll because there are scenes that could make you uncomfortable like rape, death etc. This anime is extremely depressing as well as the manga.
