The next day came too quickly, it was time to return to school. Harry, Ron, Ginny and Victoria packed their bags and headed downstairs to be using floo powder to get back. Victoria and Harry went to go first. She turned and told everyone good-bye and promised the twins she would come by the joke shop soon. Mrs. Weasley insisted that Victoria come back this summer and that she was always welcome. It felt so good to be welcomed like that.
Once they arrived back at school, everyone seemed to go back into their normal routines, everyone except Harry.
They were all seated around the common room fire the night they got back, talking and discussing how Hermione's time in France was when Harry just got up and walked away. Victoria looked around the group, confused at what had just happened.
"What was that all about?" asked Ron.
"Beats me," said Hermione.
"I'll go check on him," Victoria said getting to her feet. She followed Harry out of the common room and into the hall.
"Harry?" she said in a soft voice. "Are you alright?"
Harry didn't speak, but just kept walking.
"Harry," Victoria tried again. Still no answer.
"Harry James Potter, talk to me." Victoria said in a stern voice.
Harry stopped and rounded on her. They had walked all the way up the seventh floor and stood in front of the room of requirements hidden entrance.
"I needed somewhere to go to think, alone," said Harry flatly.
Out of nowhere the hidden entrance to the room of requirement formed, Harry stepped in. Victoria followed. She was not letting him get be alone while acting like this.
"Harry, talk to me." Victoria priested.
The room Harry had needed now was different than the defense against the dark arts classroom he had created to show Victoria before. This time the room had a bed, a desk, a closet, and was considerably smaller than it had looked before.
'What is this place?" Victoria asked looking around. Harry took a seat at the desk and buried his face in his hands.
"It's my room back in the muggle world," said Harry with a sigh.
"Harry, talk to me," Victoria went and kneeled in front of the chair Harry sat in.
"It's not that easy Victoria. If you saw the fucking things, I keep seeing, you wouldn't even want to be in a room with me," said Harry through gritted teeth.
"I'll always want to be in a room with you," said Victoria placing her hands on his. Harry didn't move. "Let me help you, let's figure it out to-"
But Harry stood up so quickly, he almost knocked Victoria over. "Damn it Victoria!" he yelled. "Don't you get it. You can't just help these situations away."
Victoria stood and looked him in the eyes. She saw pain, anger, and fear.
"Talking about what I am seeing in his mind, doesn't help. Nothing helps." Harry ran his fingers through his hair aggressively.
Victoria sighed and took a few steps toward him. He wasn't going to push her away.
"Fine," she said in a low voice. She was inches away from his face now and placed a hand on his cheek. "Then kiss me instead."
Harry looked up at her and for a moment he didn't move.
She spoke again, "I see the anger in your eyes, the fear, the pain. If talking doesn't help, maybe other things will. Kiss me." She muttered into his lips.
